QUESTION
VERY IMPORTANT
ANSWER PLEASE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

Theoretically,
if there's a market crash
and you have to sell some of your holdings because you're in danger of being margin called.

You sell gold or bonds, right? Not you equities.
Right? Is this right? Or in an absolute pinch, whatever you got that's defensive. Right? Never the crashed equities unless your thesis fails?

The last 6 months have really taught me you can't buy this faggot market unless you're buying dips. The rips are retarded but impossible.
>you can't time the market bro
Sure I can, if I buy "every day" my average ends up being 25% too high and I have to baghold for a year or more to break even, if I only buy dips I end up 25% or more in profit.

Tech
industrials
healthcare (some of it)
payment processors and credit services, and maybe investment banks but most financials are trash

>Overview, screener, watchlists, charting + order building/placement, accounts + deployment are the main ones I think.
Do my fellow aging 30y/o boomers here agree? Like you have an 'overview' for macro or general market stuff, then you have your own watchlists (can be sectors/factors like low beta, value, nuclear, etc), views for 'micro'ing into a trade (or set alerts) and actually placing orders, and then finally devops sort of stuff with account status, active services, etc (not really relevant to the rest). Separate from all this I'd have an actual model building and backtesting workflow, but that's also irrelevant here for the most part aside from high level stuff like macro correlation views.

I think what I'm missing there and still dont' know how to do is actual thesis-driven research. This is where I could use help. The 'raw' inputs for that would be 10K/10Qs, earnings calls, published articles/data from curated sources (eg hedge fund reports, watching FED meetings in full, etc), and probably some other stuff like quality X accounts, substacks, etc. This is what no one gives you as a package of for free and it seems like it's where the real skill lives.

As a first step I was thinking a 10K/10Q daily feed and reading/skimming a few a day, parsing the JSON data (comparing against expectations if available, often not for small caps).

>Having no balls and sitting out of the market entirely
This one is why I avoid any tax advantaged cash plays.
It's always the same damn scenario;
>I see a dip, I have cash, I buy it
>I see a dip, I have SGOV, I feel like a genius for buying SGOV and do nothing, My SGOV holdings get outdone by the market after a year by 5-10% completely negating the $10 in tax savings I made by having it in SGOV instead of a base cash position in short term treasuries
I'm still convinced no one here who has ever parked their money in shit like that has ever actually sold it to buy a dip. Just a dumbass safety blanket that makes you a worse trader in the long run.

it is not a different story. your priorities in life and your positions in the stock market are likely closely aligned. making multiple posts begging for anons' opinions on your ai-powered garbage very obviously shows how desperate you are. quit being a bitch and hiding it, deal with your shit. you have to talk to somebody about at least a bit of it. i legitimately would rather you become better and contribute in a meaningful way than to deflect and deny in the manner in which you have.
>>
>>62776406
the projection with you is insane. I'm not asking for opinions on "my ai-powered garbage", I'm asking for research workflow processes and tips. And again, the assumption of desperation, 'being a bitch', 'hiding it', I can only assume comes from some weird dark place you apparently inhabit.

All I'm trying to do is get real discussion going for better research workflows, in the stock market general.. I mean come on retard. Get a grip

Nigga the PDT rule hadn't been adjusted for inflation in forever. $25k in an account was nothing in 2025. I could make that money spinning a mattress sale sign in a costume for a few months.

So like, I am retarded (self diagnosed so you know it's the real big R), but if we're talking investing in gasses what do people think about American gas producers (pure play or gassy shale) as a rip van winkle part of the portfolio trade on data center location and LNG terminals eventually closing the spread between US and foreign nat-gas prices?
>>

now multiply that <$25k by how many poor gamblers there are. and also multiply that by how many of them are concentrated into current meme sector

GUYS, the CUSU DDR4 3600 Mhz ram I bought a month ago was $200. The market dropped below that. It's actually ogre. It has nothing to do with China, it's a distraction so we baghold, and we'll only a post-mortem. This is based on eBay new listings, which tend to catch up on price crashes sooner. The mean is about $180 now. Well, there's one kit on Amazon for $209. Pack it up, bros. It's time to short on the next false pump. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091FKD2N3/
Although it should be around $80 normally, nobody's gonna give you back your gains.

>74 billion in profits
NAND is growing slightly faster than DRAM QOQ based on this, their Q3 NAND would have increased 40% QOQ. Samsung's numbers are weird so I might be doing the math wrong but this is in line with Micron's profits, pointing to growth in production of enterprise NAND. This means SNDK will report something similar in 3 weeks, about 12.6 billion, up from the estimates of 10.8 billion, btfoing wall street estimates.

I just got done with doing a chargeback against h*cking AliExpress over broken electronics. What is Huawei shipping? NPUs? We don't know why RAM is suddenly dying in the actual market yet, but isn't Nvidia banned in favor of in-house production? Do their chips even compete? If so, does the global picture favor Huawei?
