>Excuse I would like to exchange this rock for a hamburger
Token not needed.
>>
>>62781235
"Gold going up with inflation" is just a narrative and is replaced by "high rates are bearish for gold". Nothing is really true, its all narrative.
>>
>>62781235
market prices in rates going higher, its that simple

Because gold and silver, gold especially are the most liquid assets available. When the bills come due, people liquidate their gold to pay those bills in fiat currency, this causes the nominal price of gold to drop, however behind the scenes are people with excess currency that they're holding who are just waiting to pounce on lower gold prices, and so gold shifts from weak hands to stronger hands, when these buyers buy, it bids the price right back up, and seeing as inflation means the expansion of the currency and credit supply, that means more currency is being injected into the system for others to buy the gold and bid the price up.

You're fucking welcome cryptofags, lol you can't eat your crypto, Elon musk is going to build his spaceships out of Bitcoin to go to asteroids moving a million miles an hour and his Bitcoin miners are going to ship gold to earth for free right? Looooool stupid baggies.
>>
>>62781235
They never say how much was added to the markets when things go up, only how much was wiped away in a crash. I guess they don't want you to feel like you're missing out on something.
>>
>>62781388
bitcoin is doing well
>>
>>62781235
The price of gold has been inflated for awhile, demand was high because of speculative investors with tinfoil hats, who are afraid of a another great depression because they watched a youtube video.

You can only hold gold for so long, without feeling like an idiot, while you watch the S&P500 hit it's all time high again and again.
>>
>>62781360
banks, pension funds and other institutions have huge losses in bonds and expect them to increase, so they sell stocks and paper gold, its not rocket science
>>
>wow did the purchasing power of my dollars go down? Better buy some gold!
>no I can't eat gold but if a bunch of other people buy gold too I'll be able to sell it at some later date for 10% more than what I paid for it after taxes spreads and fees!

Loooool Bitcoin baggies are so retarded, for everyone holding Bitcoin, there will only be a certain amount of winners, when they cash out, the rest of the baggies are going to cry for more retards to come in and pump their bags.

Monetary lesson for you crypto clowns, the reason why precious metals are not a ponzi scheme is because they have a base value. This base value is because before anything can become money, they need to be valued as a real commodity, and for something to be valued as a real commodity, it needs to have actual uses in the real world. The rain why Bitcoin will always be a ponzi scheme and nothing more is because it has no value as a commodity, you can't eat it, you can't drink it, you can't build anything with it in the real world, you can't electroplate one atom thick layer of Bitcoin onto another metal or surface and then send it into space so it functions are a protective layer against radiation. Bitcoin can't conduct electricity, you can't build a computer with Bitcoin. Because precious metals have real world uses as commodities, they have a base value because there is always a buyer available who wants to use it for something or to use it to create something else. So now you understand why precious metals have a base value before they're even money, the next step is that they have all the qualities that make it ideal as a medium of exchange, that properties are intrinsic to the metal. When these precious metals are demonetized over time because the people become dumber and dumber through wanting convenience, the metals revert back to their price as a commodity which is never zero, unlike crypto, which when people realize is just people coming in to try and make a profit from other people coming in behind them so they can exit, they will lose confidence and it will revert back to its intrinsic value which is zero.

Now let's watch these cryptards kvetch and cry lmao pearls before swine.

I'm never going to financially recover from this.

Once you get deep enough in the rock rabbit hole, you realize that insane price volatility on a literal rock at a fixed inflation rate is a feature built into paper markets to keep the people living in the real world doubting it's a safe investment and keeping their money in the casino.
>>
>>62781685
Someone should tell the American people that America is doing great then, because they didn't get the memo.
>>
Let me know when China stops grabbing gold at a record pace. Until then, I'll play the long game in which gold and silver have everywhere and always been valuable.
>>
>>62782205
Gold and silver are the only things I see people go beyond dismissing and try to actively convince others not to buy. It makes the crypto threads seem civil. Yet its being silently bought up by governments as we speak.

Mostly not gold and silver. Mostly Silicon. And there is no scarcity in the materials needed to make a computer, only in the production capacity of the factories and industries used to make computers. Its ok buddy, your pet rock will break even in a decade or so.
