The more positive interactions you have when you go to places, the easier it will be to recall those memories compared to negative experiences at those same places. This will increase your overall happiness as time goes by and when you recollect those more warm memories will run to the top over the negative ones.This also applies to the impressions you give others. They have known you for less time than you have known "you". The interactions thus are proportional to how they recall you and consider you. Thus it is far easier to be seen as whatever you like by them as their perception of you is limited in scope and overly focused on the more positive things you brought to their world when you first entered their reality. Of course they must be positive. Negative or bizarre experiences can be easily recalled and might require equally or more positive experiences to remove/reshape(a woman's labor is only outweighed by the joy she feels when her baby is born)It is not hard to do a little few positive things to a particular human you have set your sights on. Ultimately they not only add up but can multiply depending on how the interactions relate to each other(I.e you bring food for the whole class X many of the foods are the favorite dishes of individual classmates or you hold the door open for a girl X the girl is your date and you are paying for the meal)Human thought energy is powerful when amassed. If you work in a warehouse(negative environment) and you are a hard worker you will be disliked. The wagemen dislike their work, and their limit impression of you puts you as a valuable player to the warehouse. You are valuable to the source of frustration. In heavily ethnic areas, this can be deadly. The reverse is true, a high schooler who hosts parties will be seen as very positive. Those teenagers will have many positive experiences that might not have anything to do with him. However, they will remember him positively in their thoughts.Hope this helps.

The members are ranked based on their past contributions during these previous interims leading up to the day.You might not recall the day you received the gift nor anything that really happened. If the gift had a very positive impact upon you it will be easier to remember the circumstances surrounding the gift's origins especially if the "gift" is still in usage today. Others too have blurred memories. If they had a gift from you and forgot everything "in between" then they will still feel positive towards you as all they can really remember in the here and now is how that gift makes them feel. This is why musicians do well with women despite physical shortcomings. Why do people have these blurs? Too many things happening and none of them particularly outstanding.
