What is it like to not have go work for a living?
>>
ask a toddler, suck on tiddies and shit in your pants, thats how they live

I honestly think most people don’t know what it is like to not have to work for a living. Retirement is a thing of the past too.
>>
you stop thinking about blowing your brains out every other day

Disregard the idiots shitting on you for this.
Your brain commits suicide if you dont make it work. Your decision was a good one anon.
You can work the brain by learning new stuff or travelling if you have money but working is fine too if you work for fun and not for money.
I have spent many years not working and i always returned to work cause its actually giving pleasant challenge.
>>
>>62801450
this is me also, even though i have the entire day free i dont feel like playing games, i just scroll 4chan and tiktok
>>
31 and never had a job, just got into crypto at the right time back in the day and have been investing ever since

not working is genuinely the best but if you're a nigger faggot with no drive then you're going to get bored of doing nothing, having hobbies is fun but you're a fucking retard if you go back to work because of 'too much free time'

honestly, the only thing that is shit about it all is that everyone else around you is likely still a wagie and is always occupied with something, so you spend a lot of time alone; if you do find people with more free time likely they're just other richfags but tend to be insufferable and just slaves to social media for their ego boosts anyway
>>
>>62801339
Frees up your time to learn a lot of 'self-sufficiency' skills. Look into how your chosen living area is vulnerable to economic impact, supply chain weaknesses, the history of natural disasters.
By being better prepared for the future you won't lose as much when unfortunate events occur and you won't have to spend as much to rebuild your living standard.
There's plenty to keep busy with you just have to take the time and look around, just like most had to in order to find assets that could generate enough of a return to free them from work life.

Literally how?
You know, when I go to buy my lunch I sometimes see this homeless guy just standing around with his plastic bag of drinks, either sipping one and looking at the street, or sometimes reading a newspaper, or smoking. I wonder, does he ever think that the time is dragging too slowly? I have thoughts like that over weekend, but I gotta go to the job when it's over. He doesn't.

>>
>>62802081
Then she doesn’t find you attractive. Hookers and wagies are people too lol and just because someone is working doesn’t mean they cannot like you
>>
>>62802097
It depends I guess. If you’re comfortably retired, time flies. That’s why a stereotypical thing rich people say is “there isn’t enough time.” Like you are having such a good time but time flies by.
But half an hour at work feels like hours.
>>
I haven't worked since last year Summer. It's as great as most sensible people imagine. I've got time to focus on my hobbies and gf everyday. It's scary how quickly time is moving forward. Beeing a based edgy need has its risk. You gotta build some discipline or you will end up in this loop of everday going to sleep later and later, and waking up later and later. I let myself go and now I'm going to sleep at 9 am and waking up at 15:00. Up and ready for the US market open but this is not healthy!

The rest is perfect :)

The six weeks after having quit my job while still receiving a few paychecks and living off savings was probably the most comfy time.

it's really not much different
you know the kind of stuff you do during your free time after work, or on weekends?
nothing changes about your life except that those periods expand to fill all of your time
you don't magically get a different, better life
you just spend more time doing the same stuff you were doing already

i thought it would be better, that i would be happier
but mostly it feels exactly the same as it did when i was working
it's just that the part where the free time ends and you have to go back to work never arrives

i imagine it's one of those things that seems much better when you can't have it; put on a pedestal by people who have to work
i certainly thought i would have a blissful happy life if i didn't have to work
the novelty wore off very quickly and life is exactly the same as when i was working, just with more free time

>>62802972

>>
>>62802998
i think the reality of it is just depressing
when i was working i had this to look forward to
shit was miserable but at least it was going to get better once i didnt have to go to work anymore
now im here and this is it, this is as good as it gets
nothing else to look forward to, just trying to find ways to fill the time
your interests and hobbies that were so interesting and exciting when you could only spend an hour or two on them a day very quickly become less interesting when you can do them all day every day
and this is unfortunate because as other people in the thread have noted, you may not have to work but the people around you probably still do so you're going to be spending most of your time alone
>>

>>
>>62801339
Most people who work will think you're a lazy pile of shit. You can comfort yourself by saying it doesn't matter what they think but the fact is that most people work, somewhat begrudgingly, and if there is anything that could unite them it's loathing of people that find a way to get out of it.
>>
>>62804711

Everyone, including themselves and their parents and grandparents had 100 years combined to make it. People who have to work for a living today lost the race and the race is now over.

It's very comfy and I don't ever want a traditional job ever again.
If you can just simply rot inside and have the time of your life then it's perfect.

But, for me, I do need to live by a routine, making a list, "clocking in" when doing hobbies and tracking it all. From gardening, house maintenance, working out etc, if it's not on a list, and not set when I should do it, I simply won't. My mental state is super good and I love life when I do this.

Whenever I stay from my routine a month can easily go by as quick as a flash. I just play vidya, consume shows, go to bed later and later, don't really eat, can't even almost be bothered to go to the store, don't want to go outside at all, and stuff just piles up and I get depressed.

probably a lot more boring than you'd realize, since the number of people over 30 million or so in assets is pretty small. sure, you can have 10 million and not work, but 10 million isn't letting you live a very exciting life, so it gets boring sometimes
>>
>>62801339
I have never been great socially, so not having to do that is fantastic.

but it is definitely grim. There's only so much i can do, life is kinda boring when you're not just living with effortlessly. It's pretty obvious why we have kids and family, they give us structure.
>>
>>62812466

> It's pretty obvious why we have kids and family, they give us structure.
Marriage would not exist if girls didn’t hit the wall. You cannot ignore that when talking about family, marriage or kids.
It isn’t some noble honorable thing you did. Girls also lower their standards once their looks start fading and marry men that they would not have fucked if she was in her prime. That’s the reality for the majority of men unfortunately. So no, for the majority of men, a family or kids isn’t some noble thing, it was just a walled female needing to settle down before being completely invisible to men.

I thought about that. I know that I'll keep working whether or not I have to. I think being productive is an important part of maintaining a solid sense of worth. Particularly as a man. 1-2 years off is amazing after years of very hard grinding at work
But there is a point where you actually do get bored and start to feel weird at family reunions and talking to people who have an active life
It gets easy to be isolated and have nothing to talk about with other people
Reaching a point where you realize you were better off working even though its tiring

How can you fall behind in life when you’re at least 50 years ahead of most people?

You don’t hate your job enough.
Not having to do some shitty job is the reward in itself.

> talking to people who have an active life
40 hours a week at is not an active life. Work IS their life. A neet has an actual life whether it be gooning all day or whatever. You definitely still have a job right now.

I've been off work for 6 months. leave of absence from employer. This is the best ever. I need to go back to contract work. were I had more time to myself between contracts. 40 hours a week is slavery

Also, if you’re that bored just go do some volunteer work or something. It goes to a good cause (presumably) and allows you to stay somewhat structured and socially active.
The problem is that work creates a surrogate social life. We spend so much time working that we either don’t have time and/or energy to do much else.
Some will lean into this further and do even more work to avoid facing how empty their lives are without it.
For the industrialized world life is set up in such a way that unless you’re born rich you have to keep working, you have to keep pushing, you have to advance and get that bonus or promotion because your rent or property taxes, groceries, gas, and utilities will never stop going up.
Meanwhile every executive is trying to figure out a way to shave labor costs even if it is a long term sure way to ruin the company because it will trigger some bonus and investors get a few more shekels to brag about during the holidays. Being a wage slave is truly hell. The best you can hope for is to make it out. You’ll never be in the club, you didn’t go to the right schools or have the right zip code growing up.

It would be boring to be completely without work. I could sell my company and be done with working forever but I dont want to do that.

I think working part time, ~4 hrs a day, is a perfect compromise. It gives you time to enjoy life, make some money and get something productive done. Also im assuming this is part time work that is also fulfilling, not you doing call center work or other meaningless drone job.

you can have a world where everyone works 1 day a week, and you have free healthcare, food, shelter, UBI, for everyone; the only reason that world doesn't exist is because of the zero-sum negative-sum, taker, false scarcity illusion the judeo masonic abrahamic money creators prevent it. the people make the world happen, the people must control the bank. humanity has to move past the point where you work for money, to you work because work must be done, but everyone pulls their weight, issues their own coin, doing just work, moving it all forward, there are enough atoms for everyone, enough milkshakes for everyone.

a self governing educated aware awakened honorable wise individual collective, you are all people of earth dimension, borders and national coin is pointless

I've been a NEET and it fucking sucked, though I was also really poor.

When I quit my last job, I had about 1 year off before I went out and got another job. I don’t know how people can get bored of retirement desu. Time is one thing you can’t buy and having an abundance of it is a blessing. I think part of the problem is that people have been programmed to not think outside the box. If someone gets bored, it’s like their mind automatically thinks about work and nothing else as if there are no other options available. Maybe they feel like work gives their life purpose or something. It’s pretty sad
