I am becoming dangerously jewish. I want to buy a $2800 watch but then I tell myself but that's 14 shares of spacex I could buy. want to buy a switch 2 but then tell myself but that's 1 share of vanguard. I'm only wanting to spend money on stocks and silver
>>62811962You shouldn’t even think about spending on luxuries unless you have $1 mil at least these days. The Charlie munger quote about the first 100k being a bitch is relevant but now the number is a million dollars. You have to SPRINT to that first million then you can let your foot off the gas a bit.
>>62811962Just buy a $100 watch with a similar look to scratch the itch, there are some excellent cheap watches out there, especially second handSeiko, Casio, TimexChances are you'll realize you don't need thousands of dollars to switch your look up
>>62811962In the 2008 recession I overheard a pawn broker tell somebody, this was after there was a huge proliferation of new luxury watch brands because every celebrity was making one, that he was only interested in Rolex and Patek Phillippe.
>>62812810Ok
Why do I need a watch? The time is on my phone
Tell me I'm not the only one who has an inner voice I can tune into to know the current time
you clearly can't afford a 3k watch and why would you even want one. You're just signalling to everyone else that you can only afford a 3k watch and it's best to just not do that
A $28000 watch huh. My new computer parts cost that much.
>>62812891Its a moggy mog world, bro. People’s seethe is a form of currency and the more seethe you generate, the bigger mogger you are.
>>62812858You can’t check your phone in the middle of some action (talking in public, fucking, running, etc.)
My current watch is a CASIO G-SHOCK 3495 GW-M5610U. It automatically receives atomic time calibration radio signals, solar powered, shock-resistant structure and 200-meter (20 bar) water resistance. I got mine from Japan to get the blue outline. It was around $120. It's pretty great. Never needs charging and the time never needs to be set.
>>62812928a 3k watch doesn't mog anyone, It makes you look poor instead. You don't even mog poor people because they don't know what a 3k watch looks like? get a gold chain instead
only retards buy spacex
>>628129603k definitely mogs. Most people cannot even afford a $500 item.
>>62812960> You don't even mog poor people because they don't know what a 3k watch looks like? You fucking tell them, you retard. “Heh, oh btw, this thing on my wrist costs $6k. I didn’t even think twice when buying it. I actually have a subscription service. I automatically buy one every month.” People are always impressed when they hear me say this. Ymmv.
>>62812960Then you pull out car keys to your luxury by accident while looking for your $2000 lighter and then flash your other wrist which has a $5000 watch on it and you pull out your gold iphome duo. Then once you got your lighter, you pull out your $3000 cigarettes case.
>>62812960And while smoking, you pull out your $7000 sunglasses and take a seat and put your feet up, showing off your $3000 shoes. But since your sitting back in your chair, you take off your $20,000 blazer. This is pretty much what I do.
>>62812933The hell i cant
>>62812874I have a very good internal clock so I usually just know what time it is based on when I woke up.
>>62811962>buy a $2800 watchWhy would you want to show off such a ball and chain?
>>62813053Same in the day but not when waking up
>>62811962>shares of spacexHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>62811962you're better off buying a rare limited edition $3k watch than shares of spacexbtw it's going to zero when elon goes to prison
>>62812942I wish they made it with easy to press buttons and a stn display…to get that you gotta get spendy
>>62811962just ask yourself>what would this guy say about my dilemma?
>>62811962the whole point of money is that it can buy the things that make life fun. I have an expensive carbon bike, switch 2, several 10k+ watches, multiple pairs of meta AI sunglasses, etc. money is just potential energy when its sitting around. you have to actually convert it into goods and services to claim your winnings. if you save your money and die with it unspent your life was no different than that of a brokie. make money, invest money, but also CLAIM YOUR WINNINGS BY SPENDING THE MONEYif you're wondering: 2800 is not that much as far as watches go and switch 2 is great. just buy it. the screen is way nicer than the switch lite.
>>62812858You bring your phone while doing underwater demolition missions?
>>62812993>>62813027>>62813034But OP doesn't have any of that. He's only considering a 3k watch and even then can't commit because it's too expensive for him
>>62813800Just realised I wasted my own time commenting in a 1 post by this id shill thread. Take note lurker anons
>>62811962Based and chosenpilled. Goyim waste money on frivolous nonsense.
i used to always compare every purchase to how many shares of o it is lol now that o was been so shitty i stopped doing that
>>62811962jewish? that's based as fuck
>>62812960Gold chain for mogging? Are you a jeet? Big gold chains are absolutely hideous and only people without taste buy them.
>>62811962even better, think about these purchases in terms of hours of your own work/time.
>>62812858It's poorfag cargo cult shit. They've seen wealthy people wearing expensive wristwatches and they think>if i buy an expensive watch it will mean that i'm one of those peopleYes they really are this stupid.
What do you even need a 2800 dollar watch for that a 20 dollar Casio doesn't do just as well?
>>62811962There's nothing wrong with you. That mindset is how you make it.
>>62811962>buying an expensive watch if you're not already richEmbarrassing. Hood nigger behavior.
>>62815222They have some nice 500$ seiko mechanical watches with really nice finishes. For something that will last pretty much forever and a intricate mechanical testimate to engineering from times past, its fine. The point of a watch is to check the time without pulling out your phone because it looks tacky to check your phone during a meeting. But in the era of mentally ill freaks and street shitters with fake degrees running corporate america, who really cares.
Haven’t worn a watch since I was 13.> t. 1,5 MM networth
>>62815208>>62813945The thing is if you buy a good watch second hand, you can always resell without losing much.I bought my Omega Aqua Terra for $2500 and I could probably get $3000 for it now. Sure it's not a very expensive watch, but it looks great to me and it won't attract the wrong kind of attention like a Rolex.
everyone shitting on a $2800 watch is exposing what a dumb niggerbrained brand consooming goy they are. locked by jews into the idea that a watch is le bad unless it's a 10k rolex. When the reality is there are watching just as good if not better than brands like rolex around the $3k range
>>62812072Fug, took it to heart when I hit six figures of liquid assets. Still mostly just buy more assets and guns but bought a PC after putting it off for years since AI seems to have no end of thirst for components and I wanted to game again so I don't an hero. The competing issue is inflation will continue to affect all goods, like buying your groceries for the year today is a better financial decision than the same money spent on V00, savings from front running a famine are all but guaranteed, an end to recent volatility is not. As much as I want to emulate boomers, the world they made is fucked. If anything seems like a possible purchase for OP in the next 2 years and he has self control its a double edged sword to put off the purchase. I'd be concerned about myself if I didn't know the finances of everyone around me to include people twice my age. Many are pay check to paycheck, put nothing in retirement, have nothing saved, or have a pittance only in their bank which is likely at risk. Anything better than that is winning and OP is on track even if the scale is off by a factor of 10. Sometimes winning is just losing less while society gets heemed.
>>62811962buy a nice casio like Bin Laden did, or spend $280 rather than $2800 on something similarly shiny but not precious. Its not jewish to try to acquire resources but you're likely going to see assets on sale for a while to include silver and most equities, everything else is unlikely to be on sale outside of plastic trinkets. Look at the apartments of russians a few years back and other 2nd and 3rd worlders and its often pretty minimal in possesions. We are likely to degrade closer to that level of purchasing power in the west for the rest of our lives barring a serious reversal in priorities and ability. If the west is no longer a primary center for capital investment then even the money spent on stocks might not pay off as we'd like it to. Buy yourself something nice from time to time so if the bottom does fall out it won't have been a complete waste.
Watches are a good store of value if you buy used. Prices don't usually move much outside of the hypebeast pieces so when you're ready to sell you'll likely get all your money back.
>>62811962you're growing up and becoming a big boy fren
how pleb are leather bands? i sort of like the idea of timepieces but holy i hate the aesthetic of the links for some reason.
>>62815733and i should specify, im thinking hamilton watches.
>>62813644>consoom goy
>>62815733I'm thinking the longines spirit pilot (leather strap)
>>62812080But $100 is like 50 shares of DNN
>>62811962those are paper ious of ownership, not real ownership like having a watch on your wrist, a switch 2 in your hands, or tendies in your tummy
>>62820095Looks the same as any $100 watch
