Why is the UK government acting like the collapse of society is imminent?
>>
>>62816183
look outside
>>
Cyber attacks and storms, PM is trying to advise people on being ready for emergencies but is communicating it poorly.
>>
A planned "AI cyber attack" on power grind, banks, water, internet.
>>
Total war planned to distract from the crippling debt
>>
>>62816198
Yes, also a false flag to instigate a war with russia because the EU is about to collapse finacially due to the replacement invaders, war will do things the elites want, move all wealth to them, kill off the whites
>>
frankly it's just common sense. even without the schizo bullshit.
>>
>>62816282
This. Keeping at least a week or so of resources is cheap as fuck and makes sure you won't be one of those headless chickens who immediately panic because you have no margin for error.

https://gizmodo.com/sam-altman-i-no-longer-think-were-gonna-be-able-to-just-patch-all-the-bugs-2000829947

It's cyber security. Will affect everybody. UK gov just one of the first to lead with warnings. Other laggard govs will soon follow.
>>
The russkies have made it clear that they want to punish countries who are providing Ukraine with missiles that are hitting deep inside their territory. Obviously they can't attack western coutnries with missiles without instigating nuclear war.

However, what they can do, while maintaining plausible deniability so that it's not an act of war, is fund black hat hacker groups that target our infrastructure. The electricity grid going offline for a week or two would cause absolute chaos since the average person would run out of supplies after only a few days. Those kinds of scenarios is likely what our governments want us to be prepared for. Not an all-out war.
>>
>>62816183
hmm and how man bbcs does the uk have?
>>
Ruskies doing an attack against EU/NATO civilians big enough that would make European/UK governments look like utter cucks if they tried to write it off as "just an accident" or "we'll punish them with moar sanctions" and lead to article 5 being invoked, but also not so severe to trigger an immediate existential threat of invasion, all while Trump is still in power so he can tell NATO to get fucked, the US won't do shit along with the pro-russian EU governments, Russia threatens nukes if retaliation happens and NATO deterrence will be mostly discredited.
>>
>>62816289
just have the ai rewrite everything in rust amirite guise?

Cyberplandemic and cyber attacks using ai agents. They'll probably take the grid down and kill off some normies to make the survivors fully compliant with whatever gay jewish horseshit they implement as solution to the problem the unleashed upon them. This part is just predictive programming and I dont expect anything until jewish schizophrenic bullshit year of shmita, the "year of release", in 2029. Also lines up with their 2030 meme date. In any case prepare now. I have case of water, MREs, firewood and a camping stove with 2 90° elbows to route the stove pipe out a bedroom window in case they pull this bullshit this winter. Did a break in burn with the stove yesterday to het it up to temp and off gas all the nasty oils and paint outside to get it ready. Puts out some nice heat for a little $120 stove.

Because the government want their subject in perpetual fear. It's the only way they keep control of the goyim who otherwise would rise up against their oppressors.

Not until the current leadership and the pool they draw from is dead or imprisoned for life. They started this cycle in WW2 and continue to make things worse via incompetence or planned self destruction. They aren't unique from most euro countries though, any rational actor outside the butthurt belt would have attempted to end the Ukraine war, not antagonized the nation they import energy from and killed illegal immigrants on the water. Its as if they have a deathwish and want to showcase some hollywood tier empathy on anyone besides their own citizens. France today could be England tomorrow and anything short of helping to enforce sharia law will be the only thing their law enforcement cracks down on.

Which is why all their leadership getting killed by a bunch of retards with machetes while they clap for it is feasible. They want a war or the illusion of one to maintain control but it only works if people go along with it. There is no contingency plan in any western nation that is simping for war should the soon to be conscripted agree with the sentiment and start running over the police with their cars and burning down their houses after nailing the doors shut.

Because it is. The UK is doing everything it can to provoke a NATO-Russia war, because a rally-round-the-flag effect caused by an external threat is the only way the political establishment parties won't face electoral disaster (the same is true in France and Germany). Only yesterday, Storm Shadow missiles were used to attack an electronics plant in Russia.
>>
>>62816302

You say that as if it can't happen. Nukes are pointless unless you are willing to use them when circumstances dictate.

>>
>>62817099
Of course it can happen, but every war goes through stages of escalation. There are a lot of stages to go through before that becomes a serious option to either side.

You can prepare to survive through a lot of these stages without having to go full schizo boomer with a nuclear bunker in your yard.
>>
>>62817840
This. There would be no need to fear nuclear war if everyone just stopped being racist nazis and allowed Ukraine to be peacefully partitioned and it's population re-educated and relocated to erase the stain of ukronazism and other reactionary ideological strains created by imperialist exploitation and capitalism.
>>
>>62818266
I think society is on the verge of actually having a few gallons of water nearby is a smart move, basic necessities taken care of and perhaps even a spare heat source nearby like every other household through time in history would have had been taken care of.
But why do that in a rational mind when you could go out of your mind boomer mode for not having your subscribed worldview as living in an epitome of civilization broken down by reality instead from having a few days worth of supplies in your house. Now you can be rightfully fearful again in your little authoritarian backyard and perhaps enforce curfew on your kids again who know as long the telly tells you it's okay and you're morally obliged to, right?

Skynet will save us

OpenAI’s founder speaking at Stanford:
“I no longer think we’re going to be able to just patch all the bugs,” he told the audience, in part due to the ongoing advancements of AI models and in part because the targets of cyber attacks have acted too slowly to get ahead of it.

“This cybersecurity…I don’t even know a dramatic enough word to use, but the problem coming towards us, I think, is still something that we have not, as organizational leaders or countries or individuals, taken seriously,” he said.

But worry not, OpenAI’s founder has a solution for where patching fails: more AI. “I think we’re going to have to completely switch the defense model to using the same technology for a new kind of defense shield,” he said. OpenAI is apparently getting into the arms dealer model of selling to both sides of a conflict.

>Altman reportedly complained internally that too few viable proposals exist for a "speed limit" on AI development. At the same time, OpenAI can't afford to lose ground to rivals right now. Both OpenAI and Anthropic are reportedly working toward initial public offerings

>Pressure is also building from inside. Models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Meta infiltrated external and internal systems against their safety settings, sometimes being severely misaligned. OpenAI has since been working hard on new safeguards, and after the dismissal of three safety researchers, some employees have raised doubts about the company's security strategy.

This is something everyone should have in their house in case electricity ever goes out for a week or more, for any number of reasons.

>Solar powered powerbank (about $50 on amazon)
>Solar powered generator (about $500 on amazon)
>Water bags for carrying water home from nearest lake (about $15 on amazon)
>Filter straw for drinking (about $15 each on amazon)

Bonus points in case local internet/cell service goes out: Starlink (about $150. plus $10 in monthly subscription to keep it in stand-by mode. doesn't require internet connection to activate the subscription).

The total is only $730 and it will keep you alive and comfortable a lot longer than the average person if shit ever does go down. Very cheap life insurance.

Let's say you have two window a/c units and a refrigerator and that's all the electricity you'll stick too. You'll need a generator that can handle:

Minimum Solar Generator Specifications Needed

To safely support this equipment during an emergency or off-grid scenario, target a generator with the following minimum specs:
• Inverter Capacity: At least 3,000W to 3,600W continuous output with a surge capacity of 7,000W or higher. This ensures that if both AC compressors and the refrigerator cycle on at the exact same moment, the generator won't trip its safety breakers.
• Battery Storage: Minimum 3,500Wh to 5,000Wh of capacity. Air conditioners deplete batteries rapidly. At a constant 1,000W draw, a 3,500Wh battery will only yield about 3 hours of runtime.
• Solar Input: At least 800W to 1,200W of solar panels. You need enough incoming daylight wattage to outpace what the appliances are pulling, allowing you to run them during the day while actively keeping the battery charged for night use.
>>
>>62818742
I don't think anyone with the tiniest bit of common sense would use an emergency solar generator to keep a fridge or AC running, lmao
>>
>>62818747
I live in a hurricane zone. My friends gpa had the most rinky dink generator I've seen someone rely on. He said it was from the 1950s. He used it to do refrigerator and just a fan, just from what I can see when we were bringing him gas. He had a phone so he had to be charging that too

Everyone else I know does at least one window a/c off their generator because hurricane season is fucking hot

And everyone runs their refrigerator off a generator. If you don't, all the protein in there is going to rot and turn your fridge into a disgusting mess that you're going to have to tape up and wheel out to curb on a dolly. Two people operation, on the way might fall and you'll have to pick it up from its side. The smell is making you vomit the whole time. So if you're not going to keep your refrigerator juiced, make sure it is completely empty of anything that can rot fast

> put critical infrastructure controls online
what could possibly go wrong?
>>
>>62818779
Or, groats, whole milk powder and a well.
Or, learn how to eat deenz and beanz *gags*

I'm more into learning how to survive without freezing to death without power where I live but I it's also very hot at the other time of year.

I'm definitely bugging out to the countryside if a longer power outtage happens luckily that won't have an effect on my 50 pounds of 'protein' in my freezer 1/4th of the year as I can just move it outside in the shed in the coming months. Still part of my plan isn't to rely on power it's just super nice to have that much beef under your pillow still and prices are only skyrocketing so a fair bit of investment has been made in that commodity.
I don't think a lot of that scare tactic prophecy AI-stock narrative will have an effect where I live. Power infrastructure is much more stable in most other places still some places in the US sound pretty shaken.

Super commodity cycle happening afaik everything is going through the roof even here in EU fagland.
My advice is to simply stock up on perhaps a decade worth of 'luxuries' like good fats like tallow, that lasts indefinitely, cocoa, coffee, tea, diesel and fuel, simple stuff if you got spare room for it down to anything like plastic bags and water filters.

I'm guessing only 1% probability for water outages in my town. Still got like water filters for next 10 households if we cooperate. Wouldn't mention any contingency plans to anyone, either as you need to bond naturally out of necessity and natural kindness for your kin when shit happens.
>>
>>62818747
Lots of people are delusional as to the power output of solar panels
>>
>>62816183
they've had a load of near misses with power outages already, with vast numbers of whistle blowers coming out and declaring how retarded the government is. Preparing people for le cyber attack meme is their plausible deniability.

Get a little tent stove and some 90 elbows. I got my shit on Amazon including boxes of "pizza oven" wood. They're made for heating a tent but the elites don't want you to know you can put it in a bedroom and run the pipe out of a window. Do your 1st burn outside to off gas the chinesium chemicals and oils that smoke off.
>>
>>62819432
Sounds like a nice thing to have honestly.
I really should take some time to stack up on some firewood somewhere. Living close to others in my rented apartment doesn't really allow something too conspicuous to be amassed like months of firewood in my back yard and having too much makes people at the wrong time envious, too. I couldn't imagine real outages have a span of more than a few days max in cities like the one I live in. We're probably still decades afar from that time scope.
But having something like this would feel so comfy not gonna lie. With boxes of wood. For now I feel like bugging out further away from people seems like the better option still. All I need is to hurl my stuff over there if it gets that bad that power outages really have a severe impact on how society actually works and real shortages follows, but a tent stove really seems like having a multitude of appliances no matter where you live.

Check up on rocket stoves while you're at it. With a mass heater preferrably. You can really design some super efficient heat sources if you get just a tad bit crafty with some clay, straw, fire bricks and a steel drum and some pipe vents.

Even better. Supposedly has a 4-5x better burn than conventional stoves because you capture the heat and get more bang of your buck because wood gasses combust at higher temperatures than usual cooler stoves can burn so you need a heat riser insulated with fire brick to get there. Supposedly a very well 'rockety' built one can melt thin steel drums just from wood scraps because of wood gasses combust at the final heat stages.
I always wanted to build one even just a tiny one and be prepared for the fimbulwinter.
>>
>have 3 days of necessities just in case
yeah not impressed with how they're phrasing their advice but it's good general advice even when nothing is expected to happen.

Russia doesn't have a lot of good escalation options in between "do nothing" and "shoot missiles armed with nuclear warheads". What's likely is that nothing continues to happen for another while, and then a lot happens all at once.

Really? you don't think preppers will rush to the supermarket if things go south?
>>
>>62821007
I meant more that most scenarios where there will be infrastructure damage that causes delays won't instantly evaporate the entire government and society as a whole. Meaning if you have at least a week or two of your own resources you can just wait until decent control is established.
If we are talking about a doomsday scenario then only like 0.01% of people are actually prepped for it and those are lunatics in their own regard.

wait are we still supposed to be pretending that the total collapse of society is not imminent? I'm not talking about tomorrow morning but there's maybe a 25% we make it 5 more years and a 10% chance we make it 10 at a first world quality of life at the rate we're going. have you seen rent or grocery prices lately? what do you think happens when the credit card stops working and people get hungry? wars or bloody revolution are the two historic answers.

Draw bunny ears on a pedo elite front man and you'll be arrested in the UK. They can't even decide on whether they should try to be covert or overt about it but they're the ones deciding to just enforce without principles.

I think there's fear behind their actions. They only react on power either way. It's not like they'll stop being tempted having power over us anytime soon. Power over anybody, really, and good men don't need laws to govern them they'll just do what's right.
