I don't understandwhere did all the money go?if they lost 1 Trillion someone must have gained it right?
>>62823240It went back where it came from.
No not really, if I sold 10,000 shares of spy for 10$ then that would be the price until another transaction took placeSame amount of money in the system
>Chinese households' appetite for gold has grown over the past two months as prices soften and onshore equities lose their shine, providing support at a time when bullion is testing $4,000 an ounce.
For each and every sale that occurred, someone bought
>>62823240didn't this happen to india a week or 2 ago?who's next?North America?Australia? Indonesia?
>>62823269It happened to Korea too, no one is talking about it.
>>62823240it was erased disappeared money is not real>>62823260yes but all other shares are priced at the last purchased share
>>62823240The money never existed in the first place. Value is a relative concept.
>>62823285yes, thats rightJapan isn't doing so hot eitherBrazil could be next tooArgentina, south americaIts like we are playing spin the bottle and the hot chicks are all gone
>>62823285Korea is two companies that pumped to ridiculous levels due to all the leverage being used
>>62823411already happened to brazil but it was because of the election
>>62823315my reply disappeared but this is essentially itIf I buy something at value V, but can only sell it at value v, V - v = "erased value"
>>62823423I wonder where I'm seeing something similar.
>>62823240It went to money heaven
>>62823240>where did all the money go?>it's created out of nothingWell, what do you think?
>>62823240>internet make belief money>OMG WHERE OMG OMG OMG
>>62823434that might be different cause.big business men that run the world dont want to see the people elect a person that stands up for them
>>62823240>if they lost 1 Trillion someone must have gained it right? Not necessarily.Several years ago I invested in the stock of some medical company. They were doing ok. Then one day they lost a patent lawsuit in Europe. Overnight the stock cratered 50%. The money didn't move somewhere else, it simply evaporated.A few months later the company's stock price went to zero. Glad I got out having only lost 50%. :-/
>>62823260>For each and every sale that occurred, someone boughtYes but that only addresses the sales, not all the stock that people were holding when the asset got repriced.
>>62823269Indonesia happened last week. Brazil happened yesterday.>>62788461
>>62823240>where did all the money go?jews
>>62823240They have long noses and wear small hats
>>62823240>if they lost 1 Trillion someone must have gained it rightno, it never existed in the first place, market cap is a 100% made up number based on latest price action and circulating supply and it reflects absolutely fuck all
>>62823269The next one will be strictly limited to just your portfolio
>>62823240It all returns to nothing, it all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Unrealized gains anon. all that "money" were potential profits, but the stock market just corrected itself so the stock are worth the actual price, not the inflated price.
>>62824185
>>62823240
>>62823240Yeah, shareholders and foreign investors also jews
>>62823240Gold is sometimes better than stocks
>>62823604literally no politicians stands for the peopleit's all elites fighting each other
>>62824365I keep telling everyone to sell their tech stocks. The writing on the wall is once midterms are over and the Dems take control, it's going to be a free for all on who can back stab each other. I'm calling it all right now.
>>62824372>implying the democrats will take controlyou'd have to have a been dropped on your head a few times if you think giving the dems power is going to lower gas prices.
>>62824372>>62824381dems are full of tech stocks in their portfolios though they want to build data centers as much as reps do but they have to pretend otherwise until they get elected
>>62823240stocks are not money
>>62824393>implying it would take much effort to remove the tech stocks from their portfoliosthat's it, you've just done what nobody has been able to do for 10 years. What you have just said is so stupid, that I no longer have any desire to spend anymore time in this thread. So I want to say thanks, and now I want to say good bye guys, we had a lot of fun and made a ton of memories, but it's time to move on.
>>62824393What? Leftist are completely against AI. Plus all the biggest data centers are in red states like Utah and Tennessee
>>62823240its not there in the first place. If I buy a stock for $1, then a second person buys a stock for $2, the price is now $2, or $4 for two stocks, but the money paid was only $3. go the reverse way, thats how money can "disappear"
>>62823260>Someone was actually buying
>>62823240>where did all the money go?>if they lost 1 Trillion someone must have gained it right?Ok... I'll admit guys, it was me, i took the 1 trillion for myself
>>62824484Kek what a trillionaire
>>62823269soall BRICS stock markets have been devastated this yearand some inbetweeners like Turkey have been hit quite hard. Egypt, UAE are holding on and hovering near 0there is some risk that the bad times will move from the periphery to the core but aggregate BRICS markets would have to do another -30% for that to be likely
Someone bought a bunch of hot pockets, but the freezer failed and they all went bad.
>>62823269Indonesia is already fucked.Australia's economy is 90% tied to China so probably.
>>62823240perception
>>62824484bro give it back
>>62823240That's not how market cap works. It's never anything more than a theoretical value. Say Company A produces a gazillion shares. They're selling for $100 each, despite the public owning .01% of shares, and execs owning 99%, so the company theoretically has 99.99% of a 100 gazillion dollars. But then people panic sell after a bad rumor and suddenly the value drops 90%. Where did the 90 gazillion go? The answer is it never existed. It's only a theoretical value of everything owned by the company, except that if they ever actually sold all of it the value would approach zero from oversupply.
>>62823240All of the suckers that paid for shares got raped by the companies that sold them the shares and whoever cashed out before the crash, but it's no where near a trillion.
>>62823260Damn this is some Lao Tzu shit.
