Baggies seem unable to see the writing on the wall and the real value of what they're holding

You see it everywhere
boomers and their houses and stocks
women and their bodies
incels and their cryptos and options

what causes this? It seems like it's almost human nature to be completely blind to reason when the pain of loss could be involved
