Brass tacks, do they have a moat or not? I remember people talking about Linux replacing Windows a long time ago. Nothing ever happened. Could be another instance of experts overestimating the taste of the public
>>62828297anthropic caught chinese people trying to make rockets, bio weapons and cyber weapons with Claude. Probably the government but they wont admit it. so I would say deepseek is like every other chinese invention, replicated trash
>>62828297At the moment the only thing chinks have done is distillation. Maybe they'll invent some new stuff, maybe they won't. We'll see.
>>62828333no, that was the Scots. and possibly the arabs 100s of years before, however their retarded religion made them shelf the process
>>62828318Idk doesnt look that badhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_inventions
>>62828338modern era pls, c'mon
>>62828342There is lotf of stuff aswell, also you changed your goalpost because here you talked about history>>62828335
>>62828297Linux did beat windows, it just didn't happen the way people thought it would. The most popular OS in the world is android and iOS because of smartphones outnumbering computers and those are both Linux. It happened but nobody realizes it.
>>62828297The moat is innovation and first world knowledge. All those brown llms have to copy because that is all they can do.
>>62828338chinese scam these wiki pages just like everything else they do
>>6282829799% of the planet does not interact with AI in any way despite LLMs existing since 2017
>>62828351such as???ok lets move the goalpost back to 1948 when the commies took over.does that help you?
>>62828435funny how in china the printing press and paper existed before Europe had it, but the Europeans actually used the printing press and paper to full effect. ie printing the bible and sharing knowledge.
>>62828520thats if you believe these chinese storiesthey literally lie about everything
>>62828333Tsinghua is the #1 school for AI in the world. They have more cutting edge AI research than MIT by a large margin
>>62828527>1 million peasants had to die in order to create 5 pages on Tao
>>62828297>I remember people talking about Linux replacing Windows a long time ago. Nothing ever happened. That actually DID happen hence why they're mostly a cloud hosting and cloud app company now. Oh, and guess what their cloud servers run on? Linux of course. They make next to nothing selling Windows anymore.
>>62828561was that image made with Linux?
>>62828565It was made by a program that was installed from a server that was running linux, which was compiled on a server running linux, transferred over various routers and network equipment running linux (or a flavor of BSD), saved to a cloud drive running linux, uploaded to a storage bucket on a distributed data system running linux, served from a website hosted on servers running linux, all running within giant cloud service providers who orchestrate all of the above using systems running on linux. That a tiny part of that supply chain happened to not use linux is irrelevant. Your thinking is on the level of>we don't need farmers, we buy our food at the grocery store
>>62828585ok, I still cant read the image
>>62828297im not very bullish on ai. ive seen the end game. elijah in the end disappears entirely.
>>62828318Seems to me, that Ai itself, is the epitome of cheap replicated trash. In the end, it effectively only produces derivative trash.
>>62828664>t. hasnt used claude fable 5.1
>>62828645what does that mean?
>>62828672God sent us ai for a specific reason, itll organize us around biblical values, and then once perfect systems are created it wont be needed things will just run
>>62828297>remember people talking about Linux replacing Windows a long time ago. Nothing ever happenedbut it did both in phones and on servers
>>62828510He looks like a piness.
>>62828668All LLM output is rehashing of its training material, by definitionregardless of what fancy new version it is
>>62828683its not just the data, its the way it can hold a frame, even of biblical complexity
>>62828686LLM output is schizokibble, as you are demonstrating
>>62828701oooOOOoooOooooOOOOOo
>>62828632Oh. I thought you were one of those>hurr...windows is still used on desktops for office work, so linux isn't actually the more widely used OSmouthbreathers. Good joke, though.
Most people are not even thinking of any questions for the AI. They don't really generalize that much either. So, when they see the commercial, many people just go, "well I don't need to do (whatever was in the commercial)", and then they just go on about their day. There's no, well maybe I could use it for something similar. The entire, I have this problem, let me look something up on the internet to help me solve it workflow did not transfer to a large % of the population.
>>62828297The issue is that once you get "Good enough" to improve your AI with AI, the moat stops existing. That's why OpenAI et all want to pull up the ladder and outlaw third party AI development.
>>62828804widely used?not in the real world
>>62828297>I remember people talking about Linux replacing Windows a long time ago. Nothing ever happened.Lots of people have switched. Businesses mostly haven't because MBAs are too stupid to figure out how to save money, but nearly all of the internet infrastructure runs on Linux.Every time there's a big fuckup by Microsoft with their forced updates, I see discussions from normies who are sick of that and are asking how to move over.
