It keeps happening. It happened to 99p stores, Woolworths, Wilko, K-Mart, Sears and others. It just isn't profitable to sell cheap made in China widgets and junk food anymore. The value shop has been destroyed by a combination of inflation, energy prices and wage increases. It looks like there's no way to have cheap retail anymore and everything has to switch to higher margins.We just can't have fun in shopping anymore.
