How come everyone is saying a career cybersecurity is resistant to ai
Nothing that uses a computer or does simple repetitive tasks will be safe
I only use free version of chatgpt as an improved search engine and even then I am astonished at how great it is. My friend that is a firmware engineer thinks he'll be out of a job soon, saying claude does 99% of his job lmao. It's gonna get bad when most people are no longer needed for anything
>>62843652The expectations will just 100x. There is many software engineers that are just expected to ship 10 apps a day now, still employed but have to use ai
Opussy is so good. The only thing it lacks is vision. If you can articulate what you want, it can do literally everything else. You just point and shoot.
>>62843679How will the consumer demand increase 100x to match the 100x increased slop output? Especially if there is mass unemployment? More likely that 99 engineers get fired and 1 stays behind to produce said 100x increased output
>all my cad work>an extremely simple enclosure like thousands in CAD file databases on the web
>>62843686I think I may be a golem or npc because even though I know this and know the distance between me and anything I want to do is just one well articulated prompt away now, I still will just stare at the chatbox for like 5 minutes and then get distracted and go play video games or whatever. For the life of me I can't fathom what to do or make or learn with it. Scam altman said something like AI is definitively showing who are the low agency people in society and who aren't, because agency is the only barrier left for getting what you want out of life. You don't need to be smart or talented or anything, you just need the will to power and a prompt. And that's still too much for me to handle apparently. I always uaed to blame work, chores, exhaustion, etc for why I never got anywhere in life, but when I scrutinize those moments it occurs to me I never had a where in mind in the first place, and those other reasons were just scapegoats. And I still don't have one in mind now, and for the life of me can't figure out how to get one.Anyways, just a golem venting. Back to the cage for me.
>>62843711I think it just takes some getting used to. Get your feet wet by noticing something you'd rather was a little different about a game and try prompting a mod.
It does seem pretty crazy capable, I asked it to make a standard transmission, it's converting this openscad design to mucojo to simulate if it will actually work. I don't have the time to print this to test if it actually works thou.
>>62843709My architect friend thought she would be designing unique art building and instead it’s 100 Burger Kings
>>62843709I don't do CAD so I don't really have enough context to tell if these are slop or not slop, but it really does seem like it can do some impressive things.
>>62843694It will just be 100x cheaper
>>62843720Important work for the young workforce to train on.If we let AI do everything we're destroying our future senior workforce.
>>62843711You have a soul and agency, it’s clear from your written words.I use AI for the following:>cooking (how long to cook chicken breast at 425, what seasonings pair with black pepper, etc…)>Does this haircut look good on me objectively based on face structure?>Color theory>Identifying bugs I find>Blender/UE5 questionsAI is great. Helped me setup a Roth IRA for tax-free gains as well, can’t believe I haven’t been using a Roth all this time.
>>62843723>I have no idea about X>wow, llm is impressive in making X (to me, a layman)many such cases
>>62843632wow, gooks really are just white monkeys
>>62843632I'm a mechanical engineer and I haven't used CAD software in years
>>62843638not true, there are many simple repetitive tasks that require human accountability or someone at the wheel that can at least pretend to know how to fix problems when things go wrong
Any fluid dynamics experts here know of a good AI that can excell at modeling aerodynamic devices?
>>62843632Cybersecurity is going to be automated by the end of next yearThe better LLMs get at coding, the better they get at hacking and consequently finding flaws in encryption and cyber infrastructure.
