Isnt the relative wealth of the US actually the source of many problems Americans face? American labor struggles to compete with cheap foreign labor, whether they work in factories in their own country or whether they immigrate by the millions to seek jobs. And if financial institutions had trillions and trillions of dollars that couldnt buy anything, the value of actual assets in comparison to cash or securities would be very high. Meaning in this hyperinflation scenario the American working class would become more competitive, not less competitive. Am I right or wrong here? Or do you think wealth can only exist relative to a poor underclass?

Idk why you are calling it the trump inflation plan, this has been the plan for 40+ years

And to answer, no it will suck bigly but less bigly than a default

inflation would be fine if the excess money was invested into things like infrastructure and empowerment of the citizen. instead the excess is funneled directly into the pockets of political cronies who then hoard wealth and use it to cause misery. so essentially the opposite of what should be happening

Its wrong because of AI and the desite to maintain the status quo of the dollar including its strength. Trump was never capable of making hyper inflation work as needed for the working class, he would not have started a gay war if he was and he wouldn't be looking at a lame duck presidency. If this retard would die or go away the possibility is there but he unfortunately the closest to seeing it come to fruition and understanding the solution.

Devalue the currency against other currencies and against gold so labor is more competitive, revalue gold to set the economy on fire without hurting the Chinese, let inflation go wild, protect fledgling industry with tariffs but avoid base commodities and things that can't be produced here. Cut entitlements by failing to peg them to inflation correctly to balance the budget, let assets lose in inflation terms without triggering a mass sell off, put the screws to boomers just a bit. Let wages compete with corporate profits and win for the first time in 55 years. Make AI an unsustainable business model by taxing them for every job they destroy, nothing personal but AI accountants don't pay taxes or buy VOO.

Look at this and tell me Trump wasn't the best matching psychological profile relative to peers. Democrats want to go back to the neoliberal order, Republicans wanted what ever Trump wants. Surely a better, smarter, nonkosher President exists but we won't see him for years and we'll have many crisis's before then. They'll print the money but put it into dumb shit like welfare and bailouts instead of industrial plants, infrastructure and energy generation. We'll end up in the same spot but with less options and again they'll tell you to look at the SP500 as if it matters.

The reset will come from the barrel of a gun as the working class gets squeezed.

The biggest drain is welfare for non-productive and retired people. Corruption is a feature and accelerates as things get worse and politicians try to get paid and get out. Eliminating corruption mechanisms gets us better politicians but they have to be willing to fuck over the unemployed including retired for the workers and that's a big ask. Attempts to keep entitlements on par with inflation just beat down the working class harder and a reversal of fortune never comes.

Youre right. I was just thinking the other day that only tax payers should vote.

the biggest drain are the blank checks constantly written to corporations so they can import foreign labor and produce technology that reduces your quality of life. you should understand that "welfare" is not just for the old and the sick, it's for the working class. the state is always going to produce money, it should be going to you and not to some asshole in california who wants to bulldoze your neighborhood to build a data center
