Same reason why /c/ doesn't have a drawthread. Not enough local interest.

AI threads normally end up devoid of LOCAL board interaction and usually end up being OP and anons from other boards trying to keep it alive. These people think that if they force this thread alive, anons on /c/ will keep it alive, but the reality is that /c/ gets like a dozen posts a day and anons here only care for the threads they're already involved in.

Also,there are so many AI generation threads across 4chan, no one other than the people forcing this thread actually want it. I just use one of the active generals where I know I can interact with others.
This thread will end up like the forced drawthreads, a bunch of mindless textbumps, requests with no contribution, and *maybe* one person pumping out generic content.

And personal opinion, SFW AI images are dumb as fuck. Who wants to save that stuff? Its not like porn where the image serves a purpose (gets you off). Porn can be shared and desired by people, no one wants to share SFW AI images, imo its why these specific threads die out.

I doubt that because I’ve made various other threads here over the years and /c/onnoisseurs have taken them to 150 images(/c/ image limit) without me needing to post anything aside from the few starting images. I think there are aren't enough places where you can post sfw AI art.

We need actual content because /c/ isn't a discussion board (as listed in our sticky) its a board made for sharing images (something this thread doesn't have). /c/ threads require 5 images to start, but there have only been 3 posted over the last day. No one cared about /c/ the board when forcing this thread here, they only cared about the *idea* of having an AI thread here, which is foolish and honestly a waste of space. Unrelated, those threads already had art created (that users had in their collections) and a fanbase related to the series (interest for the thread). AI threads are not the same as regular threads, they're request threads, the same category as drawthreads (threads that only stay alive if there are requesters AND creators).

I never questioned /c/'s ability to keep threads alive, I'm saying that much like the many forced drawthreads of the past, AI threads require content creators AND requestors alike. This thread has a bunch of spam, textbumps, and now a debate regarding the existence of this thread (not board related), but there's no actual content being contributed or generated.

Yet only mostly only porn boards have dedicated, active AI generals (/e/, /h/, /trash/, /u/ for example). When blue boards get one (like /cm/) it ends up having more lewd (not pornographic) leaning artwork due to the lack of a male version of /e/, not because majority of people want SFW cute art. We don't need lewd here, we have /e/ and /h/ to gen stuff like that.

We need more than anons from /g/ saying "I want this thread to exist" in order for this thread to exist on /c/. When threads aren't made naturally, they tend to end up dying early.

Also, please use sage when textposting. This isn't /a/ or a 4chan meta board.

Also calling out that OP doesn't know /c/ at all. Forcing a thread with a shitty OP image won't get actual /c/ users to participate, it will just make them ignore the thread. Take that to /e/ or /h/.

Tourists need to lurk before posting or making a thread. Nothing screams "I don't care about the board" like a low quality OP.

If someone actually wanted an AI thread on /c/ they wouldn't directly copy/paste everything from some other thread and they'd properly adapt it to the board itself along with mentioning that discussion should be kept to a general minimum and to report all off topic/shitposting to retain board culture. /c/ is also kind of a really weird board and you don't actually want the thread to be super active. Ideally you'd also need to work out a system to be able to flag a janny to archive the thread early and remove it from the board since there's a pretty high likelihood that you could end up with multiple capped threads cluttering the board before they can be bumped off(which results in other legitimate threads being bumped off early).
