Hello, I've been into lolita for a while and I've been wanting to actually participate now. The only concern I have is that I am a guy and don't want to bring shame or embarrassment to myself or others. I'm not trans or anything like that, I just enjoy the culture and such. I enjoy egl the most, so I'd focus there. It's not like I'm a stranger to j-fashion, I wear mode/karasu zoku, which already focuses on androgyny. Is this a good idea, or should I save myself and those in the comm from my karmic actions out of respect? Yes, Mana is a man, but that's different and I'm not him.
>>10974448just don't be creepy and wear what works for your body.
>>10974448why post this guy's pic? Because of the art on his robe you think is shameful and its a white guy?Do you have any idea who this is?
this might be the most heartwarming post ive seen today. ive been a lolita myself for a few years now and it is so rare to find men in egl style. please go for it , it is really beautiful and it is also genderless. i only know two male lolita's out there and they've never been hated on by the community. don't listen to rando's or people that are larping egl
>>10974448Not sure if bait or not, but just gonna assume the better. Despite what some comments on /cgl/ may suggest, the larger majority does not care as long you behave yourself and put actual effort into your looks, stay open to critisizm and please learn to use proper make-up. That being said though, pulling off the look heavily relies on your overall physique. The smaller and slimer you are, the easier it is to achieve an authentic look that does hurt the eye. Which substyle in particular are you looking at? Any inspirations? Do you know people who already engage with the egl community?
