What are our thoughts on cosplayers who hope to clone Belle Delphine to gain an audience?In countless pieces of media where authors, music writers, artists etc. attempt to not just sample someone else’s work/image, there are some who want to gain fans fast think the only way to do so is to imitate the OG as closely as possible. I think it’s kinda sad to see because everyone should be able to shine on their own without the need to blatantly copy another person’s work.

I think it occasionally works? But they generally fail to capture an audience, cause the copy is worse than the original so why bother. Generally stuff that takes big inspiration BUT puts a spin to it tends to be more successful at capturing fans towards a new thing. Perhaps that is also the problem with the belle clones

Seeing Cosplayers trying to imitate SWers like Belle is so weird. Love that people feel free to show off but cosplayers shouldn't be using braces amongst other traits to "be more successful" ppl are weird.

>>10974508Lots of girls do it. It's to the point where normies associate cosplay with gooners and sexually charged images. I'm not a fan of it but it's just the way things go. New cosplayers see what's working and imitate the skimpy costumes and make up style. Extra sad seeing these 15 year olds running around in bunny suits because it's so normalized. But that's just one of the consequences. If only men weren't so lustful and willing to give money to these influencers. Even if there was no monetary incentive for them attention is also a currency
There was an 18+ area to the local con, it was a pretty big con/venue. Me and BF went there to see if there was hentai manga or yaoi doujinshi etc, and it was just gooner streamers shilling their cosplay OnlyFans. It was really disappointing.

And by this point, it's less that people are copying specifically her look and more that it's the e-girl ouroboros recycling what by now has deviated from Belle Delphine's style from back in the day somewhat. She made what is basically all the money in the world before her hiatus (instead of blowing all her massive earnings she had her boyfriend/manager invest them, so it actually is infinite money assuming everything was done correctly), and it was without posting a single nude. She never had to do pinups ever again after her hiatus, but the craving for attention as other e-girls began to dethrone her was so much that she came back not only posting nudes but doing hardcore to gain attention.
