What is the most ass backwards advice you've ever seen someone give a new or inexperienced Lolita? From encouraging buying on SHEIN to suggesting Argyle with a pin striped JSK and good ol' defending replicas, let's hear it'
>>
"Don't worry about looking ita" feels like really bad advice because you should still want to try styling something well even when you're starting out.

I think the biggest problem that a lot of newbies have is that many new Lolitas don't even do basic research before trying to get into the fashion. /r/Lolita gets flooded with the same basic "I know literally nothing" newbie questions that can be answered by a basic google all. the. time.

i hate it when someone tell a starter to buy replicas or taobao instead of telling them to find a well made piece they love and save for it

Literally anything these fucking crazy ass looking "influencers" say. Left is her talking about how poorly made the AndRomeo replica from the threadpic looks, right is her glazing some Devilinspired trash that looks even worse than the replica. Do not watch these people for any real advice.

People who say these have to be bringing some kind of cosplay community mindset over to lolita. They see lolita as some kind of social hobby to participate in first and foremost.

lor is so fucking annoying

kinda miss Tyler though, at least she was funny

she didn't look as bad as some of these women do but imo tyler was even more annoying. never liked her sense of humor, by the end she was just another virtue signaling-dickriding-handmaiden who made a video about how males should totally wear beards with their coords, funneling more circus freak looking moids into the fashion. the mean-girl bully leftist supposed feminists make fun of women's face, makeup and bodies they don't like over the craziest nitpicks, then act like they don't see actual visual trainwrecks for what they are just because they identify with some kind of trannyism

I remember many years ago seeing Lor at some SoCal meetups before she became an e-celeb and she looked normal and somewhat cute, I dunno wtf happened that she morphed into a turbo-ita with fugly drag makeup. I think being an e-celeb screws people up mentally, too many hours spent talking to themselves in front of a camera.

to be fair though what Lolita influencer wouldn't be annoying af to other Lolitas since their appeal is largely to newbies wanting to learn about the fashion, seasoned Lolitas don't really need "What I Would Have Done Differently If I Started Out In Lolita Now" videos
