Why won't yall stop complaining about /cgl/ being dead and do something about it instead?
I mean... the amount of people who clearly miss how it used to be would probably be enough to make it at least a little better.
Make more threads, interact in the existing ones, idk, just try to make it happen.
(And I'm not even hating, I just really want this to change as well)

I think its more because 4chan in general has been losing a lot of popularity recently (well since it was created lol). Newfags visit this site and see that half the boards are just middle aged gooners blaming everything on trannies and fags and posting nonstop porn and complaining about women, so they think "this site fucking sucks" and leave. They already have reddit so why bother? Doesn't help that so many people in this board are obviously pretending to be someone else (timestamping can't be that fucking hard).
At least it's not as bad as /soc/ which is just a clone of /b/ atp

I just use /cgl/ for con meetups. I'll advertise a post-con get-together and typically I find some good people on here. And then I don't post until next year.

Are ita threads allowed anymore? Like did TOS change or something?
>>
>>10975220
They are, just nobody has bothered making one

The problem with /cgl/ is 4chan. I have a lot of props/sewing projects/completed cosplays that I'd love to post and get feedback on. But I don't. Why? Because someone could very well see that set of images, dox me, then spread all over that "Anon McAnon posts on the incel Nazi website". I don't feel like it's worth the risk.

I'm sure there's other seagulls that feel the same.

While /pol/ is the most known board the people that actually matter know it's not the only board. Anyone whining about anons posting to /cgl/ is trying to stir the pot and should be avoided.

But hoards of zoomers and even more gen alpha are geniuenly retarded and don't know the difference, anyone talking to the evil hacker 4chan is a problematic proshipper
>>
>>10974732
A lot of these people are probably better kept out
>>10975343
A real problem. Remember when you used to add people to msn messenger from the Internet and you had your full real name on? Man, what a time
In a way, it's not exactly 4chan that "changed" a lot, it's everyone else became a massive problem along with it

You’re afraid of being doxxed,
I am afraid of not getting any actual feedback at all because the majority of posters are bots and actual turdies who only circlejerk amongst themselves 24/7 and barely know enough english in between randomly speaking thai and spamming porn.

We are not the same

Pretty much same. It used to be nice to look at all the cool cosplays and the intricate lolita outfits, but nowadays nobody selfposts anymore unless they are attention whoring and it sucks. Part of it is the stigma of using le evil racist 4chan hacker site, but the other part is that most of the good posters just moved elsewhere. Why try to thrive on an anonymous site when you can gather 10,000 xitter orbiters to glaze you at every turn, or just join a discord server and talk to people there. Unfortunately, there just isn't really a market for the anonymous imageboard anymore because people thrive off getting recognized and getting attention and the whole point here is the opposite of that.
