Shit is dumb, man. I've never really cared much for Mag, since I've always thought it to be too expensive, but I'd be really fucking pissed if I was planning on going. How do they even deal with this for next year, since that will be even more fucked than this? Surely they don't just raise the prices again. Maybe they'll switch to the system you see for tickets where the price increases every x% of tickets sold instead of increasing over time, since I think that is a more fair way of pricing people out (although I doubt the people camping the page are thinking about ticket cost)

MAG also has an amazing reputation, and with Katsu getting shittier every year, more people swapped to MAG for their spring con. Finally, MAG has a retarded 100% refund policy plus hotel lotto is tied to tickets. If anon wants a room, he can buy 5 tickets, on 5 different cards, with slightly different names. The ticket only cost some change (if you can't afford it, get a job). After the lotto drawing in November, if Anon can get 100% refund on any ticket that didn't get a room, meanwhile selling any extra room tickets for a higher price. People online are just mad that they didn't log in sooner and will have to ride the cuck bus to the con. If you do want a ticket OP, wait till November, all the extra tickets get refunded after the draw and will be available for resell.

Thousands of people genuinely interested in attending but just busy or sleeping or who were waiting to coordinate with friends during the selling window will not be coming now. Plenty will give up on attenting outright and not try to engage in a refund system that will likely be even more frustrating to deal with than the pre-registration.And what about next year? Will it sell out in 10 minutes? Have hours of technical issues and only people sitting down and refreshing the page constantly will get a ticket? Will they institute an attendance lottery? It's only going to get worse.

If they wanted to go, they would have been there. There were announcements made and a clear time to be present if they wanted to get a badge, with plenty of warning from previous years that it sells out fast. If someone did not get a badge they were not seriously considering going.

As popular as the overnight stuff is for magfest thousands of people still don't care about it and only want to attend during the day. But next year? Unless they make major changes that won't be true. Like I said, it'll only get worse.
