Its over..https://heartattackgrill.com/
A new chapter? Like a traveling sideshow or food truck? That'd be cool
>>22028756That's fine. I can't stand fat fucks or any business that thinks their gimmick is cute.
>>22028756Why did you all lose weight?! Now look what you did. You should all be ashamed of yourselves not putting more grease in your diet.
vaxx status?

Major Medical Incidents at the Restaurant February 2012 (Heart Attack): A male customer in his 40s suffered a genuine heart attack while eating a 6,000-calorie "Triple Bypass Burger". Paramedics from Las Vegas Fire and Rescue wheeled him out on a stretcher while tourists filmed the event. He ultimately survived. April 2012 (Collapse): Only two months later, a female patron collapsed into unconsciousness while eating a "Double Bypass Burger," drinking alcohol, and smoking. She was rushed to the hospital and survived. February 2013 (Fatal Heart Attack): John Alleman, a 52-year-old daily customer and the restaurant's unofficial mascot (featured on their merchandise as "Patient John"),suffered a fatal heart attack. The attack happened while he was waiting at a bus stop directly in front of the restaurant. He was later taken off life support.
>>22028761>can't stand fat fucksThey was their purpose. Give people over 300lbs free food until they kill themselves from a heart attack
>>22028761Then you should leave. Literally everyone on this board is overweight and nobody ever posts physique to prove otherwise. Fattest fucking board on the site.

>>22028789Well it is making america healthy again
>>22028789Who knew that increasing tariffs would have an impact on one of our biggest tourist cities!
>>22028789he's basically running the country into the ground whilst he and his friends are filling up their pockets with cash. in 10 years, we'll be looking back at this and wonder how the biggest heist in U.S history happened right before our eyes and no one did a damn thing to stop it.
>>22028793wasnt vegas in heavy decline since covid?trump is a stupid fuck, but thats not his doing (nor bidens)
>>22028756>people are eating healthier, even in Vegas>moronic gimmick business can't gouge tourists and literally murder fatsos anymoreI'm supposed to feel bad about this why, exactly? HAG was always a tacky stain on the strip and the joke got old years ago. If anything, this was far overdue.I am 100% for the gentrification of Las Vegas. Make it classy, keep out the riff-raff, and it'll actually be worth the prices they're charging.
>>22028791anon this country has never been less healthy. people under 49 are slated to be the first generation of people that live less than their parents.
because "anyone over 300 lbs eats free!" was once a funny gimmick because somebody of that weight was like 0.01% of the population in the year 2000.Now they probably had hundreds of fat tammys showing up every day and they went broke feeding them all
>>22028798>HAG was always a tacky stain on the strip and the joke got old years ago.Imagine thinking a gimmicky restaurant is anywhere the biggest problem in vegas
>>22028789>>22028791>>22028793>>22028796where did the owner blame tariffs retards? go cry on /his/
>>22028777Nice digits. Honestly though I'm sure your everyday buffet sees more in terms of medical issues in a year than this place did in 15.
>>22028797Seems to be a general wave of investors being retards overall in every sector possible.
>>22028817>>22028817>I'm sure your everyday buffet sees more in terms of medical issuesThat goes double for chinese buffetsthe average every day buffett probably has a lot more black people in it.
>>22028812he won't say it of course in case the regime decides to retaliate like they do everyday to people who bad mouth and ruin his retirement but it's obviously why they had to close. It's funny you're calling me a retard, you know with you being incapable of critical thinking and all.
The owner is blaming the corporate owned casinos and resorts that draw tourists in the first place.
>>22028828when I worked at country buffet every customer was either white trash or single black guys driving expensive cars
>thread about Heart Attack Grill, a notorious slop restaurant with an untenable gimmick in a notoriously poorly run city (Las Vegas) shutting down, basically surprising no one>TDS out of nowhere
>>22028812You think the shills care?
>>22028846>untenable gimmick>Lasted 15 years
>>22028854Untenable as in their clientele would regularly fucking die.
>>22028832>critical thinking usually begins with citing the evidence provided - not hamfisting braindead political narratives into a restaurant closing, take your meds
>>22028846probably the same bitter brownoid crying about beer culture in the other thread
>>22028859You do know what kept Vegas afloat, yes? What you see here is happening all over the city. No tourists, no money, no business. Now, ask yourself one question; why there are no more tourists in Vegas now?
>>22028863>why there are no more tourists in Vegas now?because your people shut down the economy for 3 years, tourism in the US hasn't recovered anywhere since then you blabbering fucking mongoloid.
>>22028869this
>>22028869picrel is you right now
>>22028875This. Anyone who actually has visited Vegas and actually talked with locals and people in the service industry knows everyone there fucking hates the strip now with a fucking passion because they got greedy and started fleecing people. Most retards aren't aware theres much more to Vegas outside the strip. North Vegas and Freemont are bretty good but that asshole who owns Circa is trying to buy up all of Freemont and push out all the local businesses.
>>22028828Our buffets just have overweight boomers. Did a ride along with a cop one night and was dispatched to alarm call at a Chinese buffet. After they cleared it I got to come inside. All the food was left out in the buffet line. All of it. They took pictures and marked a couple food items with a sharpie. First guy in line the next day was the health inspector, he found the marked items. Never reopened.
>>22028777based
>>22028756>15 yearsI could've sworn I first heard about this place decades ago.
>>22028797I went there in 2018 flying down from BC and it was great because it was affordable.Room, flights, and everything else cost me like $2000.From what I've heard it sounds like after covid lifted all the big players in Vegas went full on talmud mode trying to extract every last penny from people to "make up" for lost revenues during covid and now nobody can afford to go to Vegas unless they are a chinese whale going to gamble massive sums. It's a shame because I would like to go there again but it will probably be dead and buried based on how they are operating now.
>>22028899I should also mention this was for a week instead of a couple days.
>>22028899its dead and now and its the fault of greedy corpo retards over half a decade in the making seriously i fucking miss when the mafia ran things
>>22028760probably moving to Texas like all other food places are since the powers that be have decided to turn Texas into Americas Hub of everything unfortunately
>>22028899Covid really fucked up the numbers and companies still can't understand why they can't repeat said numbers to this day.Line is suppose to go up!
It's because the price of beef fucking quadrupled you retards.
>>22029159So has your mom.
>>22028756RIP
>>22029159except it hasn't, beef is only slightly more expensive than 4-5 years ago. Beef prices were roughly $2 pound avg prior to 2015 until minimum wages were artificially raised and food costs rocketed with everything to account for inflation. .Their business should be doing fine in a vacuum, the vegas bubble is squeezing them out
>>22028857that was the point
>>22028756It's only been 15 years?I feel like I've constantly heard about this place in the media for longer than that
>>22028756Damn, kinda sad to see a real life super villain going out with a whimper
>>22029648>he doesn't buy his own grocerieswalmart 80/20 ground beef right now is $7.20 / lbit's not because of minimum wages going upchicken is under $2 / lb and pork is just above $2 / lb
>>22029648>until minimum wages were artificially raised and food costs rocketed with everything to account for inflation. .>America's beef cattle herd is the smallest in 75 years, in part because of drought
My local Whalburgers is still open so im good.
>>22028756Owner was based. Can't remember the interview but the tl;dr of it was>yeah I know it's unhealthy as fuck and these people are basically committing slow-mo suicide >that's the point>these fat disgusting fucks will pay money for this shit>so I'm happy to shovel it down their disgusting gullets until they choke on it and die or have a heart attack>it'll make the world a better place without these slobs in it
>>22029700https://youtu.be/hqf_SIQ3JAk?t=177Found it. Their spokesman (500+ lb lardass) died at 29 of pneumonia. Here's his response.
>>22028756>https://heartattackgrill.com/>This decision stems from the reality that major casinos have intentionally priced the average person out of the quintessential American experience of affordable indulgence. The soul of Las Vegas has been replaced by corporate greed.and this is a bad thing? this economy is good for slimming down. also i stood by HAG because their owner was morally righteous man trying to dab of stupid fatties but let's be real he should have at least charged a discounted rate instead of giving out burgers for free. i think he really underestimated how disgusting the average american can be
>>22028756>charge fucking $40 for a burger>act surprised that you go out of businessits a symptom of Vegas in general overcharging. Since covid all the hotels, casinos and restaurants got obsessed with quadrupling their prices then they started gaslighting the public for not wanting to pay a premium to hang around a cracked out shithole full of drunks.
>>22029684Sounds like people need to go on a diet and lay off the red meat.
>>22029706One of the most based men alive. The moralcuck reporter trying to make him feel guilty about his honest business is typical.
>>22028857What a strange thought. America is jam packed full of fat cunts. One glutton falls, three take their place
>>22029670>>22028887Yeah, I'm sure I heard about this place in the 2000s. Just looked it up and wikipedia says it opened in 2005.Seems that it changed locations so it was probably in Vegas for 15 years.
>>22028846it's because trump is fat
Who gives a fuck? As if any of you ever ate there anyway.
>>22029884I ate at the original Chandler Arizona location back when it was around. The owner was there in his white doctor lab coat garb talking to people. The burgers were so dense, greasy, and hard to finish. The food sits in your stomach like a cinder block.
>>22028869I hope you realize that the whole world shut down but the concept of tourism didn't just cease to exist in places that aren't ran by senile orange retards.
>>22028756Noooo I wanted to go there once in my life
>>22029933i would've if i went to vegas though
>>22029750I don't think people realize that the economy isn't "slimming down" is straight up disintegrating. Meanwhile the actual much needed crash and bankruptcy thats needed to organically reset the market to make it more buyer and small business friendly is likely not to happen has corporations have spent the last 40 years integrating parasitically to our bureaucratic system making laws and regulations that only they can follow so other companies are forced to go out of business. Libs will hate me for saying it but we would not have these issues if we didn't have a federal government the size of Alaska constantly meddling and sucking up state funding.
>>22030247Less free gibs would help.
>>22028857>Untenable as in their clientele would regularly fucking dieAnon if that made something untenable then there would be no alcohol or tobacco industries. Thinking about it for even 5 seconds makes it obvious that's a nonsensical point so I imagine you just needed something to type as a preamble to bitching about people shitting on trump.
>>22028869There are still american toorists, they just dont want to go to vegas
>>22029750The locals have been priced out of Vegas for 20 years. It's just the demographic that is supposed to be propping up Vegas, 40-something men, doesn't fucking exist in the workplace. 40-something men don't have families, don't have jobs, and don't have futures. Those that do have one of those lived through the Great Recession and aren't spending their money on stupid shit like Vegas.
>>22028756The food was pretty terrible. Their only shtick was the scale out front and fat fucks eat for free meme.
RIP
>>22030532How could the food be terrible, its just good old fashioned burgers and fries
>>22030532Really? I went there in 2018 and it was fine. Above average, I would say.
>>22028798Vegas was better when the mob ran it
>>22028863Because it's not worth it. Vegas was super cheap with the goal to make you stay there and gamble more. It was about all casinos competing against each other for people, making it more interesting and thematic while offering you values as they would earn the money through the casino. Now all casinos are bought out by two big corps and they started raising prices to ridiculous level and people just stopped going there because that was the sole reason people even went to vegas. Now it's just a really expensive city in the middle of the desert with unwelcoming casino's. Why even bother when you can gamble online now. It's just typical enshittification reaching the breaking point and once the vibes are off it will be impossible to get people back ever. They fucked up with their short term planning.
>>22030582>>22030606It's an old boomer photo op of a restaurant and the food really isn't anything special. You can get an equally good or better burger in most other restaurants on Fremont street, and they don't come with the weird public humiliation gimmicks to emphasize how greasy and indulgent it is. Memeing on your calorie count gives big epic meal time vibes.
>>22028756Damn. I absolutely love the owner of that place, he’s like the antagonist of a Goosebumps book or something. He did a TV interview once where he literally held up the bag of his former spokesperson’ ashes and said outright, “My food will kill you. Don’t eat here” and people did anyway. He was a dietician who got so fed up with these hamplanets ignoring his advice he went “fuck it” and made it his goal in life to kill as many as them as possible through his restaurant.
>>22028756I always wanted to check it out but I never went, and I've been to Vegas many times in the past 15 years, often staying on Fremont Street. At the end of the day, if I want to get a cheeseburger in Las Vegas, there are better, cheaper places where I can get a burger. OR I can pay a little bit more somewhere else for a truly gourmet burger. But mostly when I'm in Las Vegas I want to try some different stuff and eat foods that I don't normally eat when I'm at home. I think if I lived in Las Vegas I'd probably check it out once, but otherwise it's just kind of weird. Also, I am overweight, but not fat enough to eat for free at heart attack grill, I'd have to gain almost another 100lbs for that. So, going there would remind me that I'm fat and want to lose weight, but it would also be depressing because at least if I was super fat I could eat for free there. I've heard it fills you up and can be pretty good, but I know they do a thing where the servers are dressed as hot nurses and they spank you if you don't finish your food or something. It's an interesting concept just not what I'm personally looking for on vacation
>>22028756Vegas deserves to die for being so greedy, Laughlin won the struggle.
>>22028783Nta but I'm not American so I only weigh around 58kg
>>22028798>HAG was always a tacky stain on the strip and the joke got old years ago.It wasn't on the strip...it was on Fremont street, in downtown Las Vegas, miles from the strip which is technically in a separate municipality called Paradise, Nevada. >>22028899>>22028901Yeah, for what it's worth, Fremont Street downtown can still be worth going to, but it depends on what you like. It's a bit trashier than the strip, but it can still be affordable. You can get rooms for less than $100 per night and there are table games that still have $5 and $10 minimum bets, which is practically unheard of on the strip now. When I go to Las Vegas, I only go if there is a concert of other event I'm interested in, and I stay at a hotel on Fremont St and then, if I have enough time, or if Ubers are too expensive, I'll take the bus from Fremont to the strip to attend my concert or other event. If you can get to Vegas cheaply, you can still have a good time there without spending too much money, but you have to be really savvy about it and if you haven't been there you need to do serious research. If you just go to some casino on the strip, all the table games will be $20-25 minimum bets and every drink that isn't comped will be $15 minimum. Also a difference between Fremont St. and The Strip, is that on the strip, if you're playing video poker or a similar game, there's a light on top of the machine that measures how fast you are playing and you only get comped drinks when the light turns on, indicating you are playing fast enough for a free drink. On Fremont St. they still comp your drink as long as you are sitting at the machine and have put at least $20 into it. My goal for video poker is to put a $20 in the machine, and get 3 drinks out of it. I can usually get 2, but if I get 3 free drinks then I feel like I've won even if lose the 20 in the machine.
>>22031445>If you can get to Vegas cheaply, you can still have a good time there without spending too much moneyI should add, a huge part of why Vegas is about to enter a potential death spiral is because of rising travel costs. As others have pointed out in this thread, the corporate owners for the Casino Hotels on the Strip have started extreme price gouging since Covid in 2020. The Strip itself was already pretty badly overpriced by the 2010s, but Covid sent it into another level entirely. However if you could get there affordably, either by driving from a nearby state or from a cheap flight, then you could stay on Fremont St or a random cheap hotel elsewhere and you could still have a fun time in Las Vegas. Spirit Airlines just went out of business. From basically anywhere in the country, they had the cheapest flights to Vegas. I'm in the Midwest, and I would routinely fly non-stop on Spirit and at its cheapest a round trip to Las Vegas was around $90 (45 bucks each way) and at it's most expensive, even earlier this year, was still less than $200 round trip. Spirit was so cheap and so awesome. Point being, a lot of the gimmicky tacky places like Heart Attack Grill are going to suffer because the budget-minded tourist, who wants the most calories for his dollar, probably won't even bother going to Las Vegas anymore unless he can drive from Northern Arizona or Southern California. It's just going to get prohibitively expensive. >>22028800>because "anyone over 300 lbs eats free!" was once a funny gimmick because somebody of that weight was like 0.01% of the population in the year 2000.They increased it, pretty sure for at least the last 10 years it's been Over 350lbs eats free.
>>22030898>Because it's not worth it. Vegas was super cheap with the goal to make you stay there and gamble more. It was about all casinos competing against each other for people, making it more interesting and thematic while offering you values as they would earn the money through the casino. The 2000s were the last time Vegas was actually good. The value aspect, at least on the strip, died completely after the 2008 recession. This Anon is right, the Casinos in Vegas used to compete with each other by offering more and more free stuff to customers to lure them in. My friend's dad was not a high roller, he'd maybe gamble away $5,000-$10,000 over a weekend trip. But Las Vegas would treat him like royalty. They'd pick him up from the airport in a limousine. Free trip to 18 hole golf course. Comped drinks and food every single day, the only caveat was that you had to gamble or wager a minimum of $500 per day and/or gamble for at least 4-5 hours or something like that. But even if you weren't gambling that much, it was still great. Las Vegas used to be known, until the 2010s, for their cheap buffets. The casinos would charge anywhere from $1-$5 for all you can eat buffets. The goal was to keep you inside the casino, and fill you up, so that you could get back to getting shitfaced and gambling your money away. Now, after COVID, there's only 1 or 2 buffets on the strip, and they charge you $60 or $70 per person for an all you can eat buffet. It's really sad. Even the "cheap" buffet on Fremont St is still $35 per person. It's worth it, but it's such a far cry from what Las Vegas used to be. I wish I could've seen it back then, it seems like it really used to be the best city in the world to be a degenerate loser. Today in Las Vegas, even if you want to be a degenerate loser, it's gonna cost you a chunk of change
>>22028767I think it’s the opposite, too many people were eating for free.
