That's pathetic. If you're white and not poor, you should be able to get a sub for lunch or have leftovers. This is the most brown coded image I have ever seen. I bet he's working through his lunch.

Welcome to conservachud discourse in 2026
>>
>>22028803
>I bet he's working through his lunch
that would be white coded.
also, he has an actual lunch.
the only brown is the bag.

I hope "less than a couple bucks" means "less than a single buck" cuz that's all that veg-free lunch is worth.
>>
I like saving the money by bringing my lunch but the worst humiliation ritual in the world is the breakroom.
>no facilities
Well, guess I can't have anything freshly made.
>only way to cook is a cheap microwave
Well, guess I'll have to eat rubbery tasteless slop.
>you only get 30 minutes goyim
Well, guess I can't spend a third of that microwaving some shit and then waiting for it to cool back off.
>always in the nosiest part of the store
Well, guess I can't have any peace and quiet.
>always dingy looking with uncomfortable if not broken chairs and harsh lighting, usually too cold too
Well, guess I can't relax on my break.
The only way to enjoy a lunch break is to bring a simple cold sandwich like PB&J and eat it in your car.
>>
>>22028794
>10 potato chips
>one grilled cheese with 2-3 slices of cheese
>1 medium orange
Do people seriously consider this an actual meal?

>>
>>22028794
I've always packed my lunches for work.
Usually sandwiches or leftovers but if I have the energy I make something to bring for work over the course of the week. In this case it's a spinach and sausage pasta dish with onions. I usually pack a fruit and a little something that's prepackaged so I can have a snack later without having to resort to the stupidly expensive vending machine because 2.50 for a little bag of chips is too fucking much and that's the cheapest item in there.

>grab one, throw half of lettuce into the trash
>fill with bacon bits, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper and a sprinkle of chickpeas

>tear open flavored tuna pouch and mix it all together
>have a fruit strip or gummy pack for dessert that I bought 100 of at once
>it's actually good. Lunch for about 1.25
You don't need a huge lunch. It's just to give you a boost of energy to get through the afternoon.
Sometimes I'll just have some ants on a log, grab a light snack when I get off and have Spanish dinner at home that night

I take lunch. I either stock up on clearance walmart subs and take half a sandwich and some chips every day or I stop by my sister's and pick up leftovers
>>
How does a grilled cheese even work as a packed lunch? Do you just.... Assemble it at work and hope there's a toaster oven? Or do you make it in advance and then microwave it? That sounds like shit.

>>22029158
It's just retard/poors being crabs in a bucket. Literally everyone I work with goes out to one of the nearby drive thrus every single day for their lunch break, I don't know how the fuck they can justify that. Like I can afford say $5-7 a day but as much as I'm at work that's easily $30+ every week that I could have spent on one nice meal instead of 5 Cook Out trays. Or on other needs besides food.
Of course most of them are part time and don't get 5 lunches a week, but still. Bringing a "school lunch" every day has made a huge difference in both my energy levels and the quality of my breaks (didn't spend 20 minutes idling in a line).
>>
>>22029279
>>22029158
I don't get mad about it but food is the only thing I can spend my money on that alleviates the excruciating desire to die aside from drugs and alcohol, so I make sure I have nice lunches
There's not really anything else I spend money on though

The actual truth behind the problem in question is that women used to be responsible of managing the home and figuring out meals was part of the job. Of course ordering or eating out every day is not sustainable, it never has been for most. On the other hand, this poverty sandwich with the stupid chips is not a proper or sustainable meal at all so fuck anybody who suggested this was the sane answer.

The answer is that shit's fucked because no one is assumming that role now, and 2 salaries are not enough to fill the gap left by housewives.
