Have you ever contributed an idea or change in a restaurant, while being employed there, that made a major positive impact?
>>22029077A waitress wouldn't sleep with me so I told the supervisor she was stealing meat from the walk in (it was me) and she got fired
>>22029077I told the lady at the registers the men's room was out of paper towels and they added them. I like to think I did a positive thing for other men who's hands where also wet.

>>22029077I used to work at a locally owned deli were the employees were encouraged to come up with new menu items and if it sold well you would get a permanent raise. Got to the point where half the items on the menu were shit i came up with while drunk/stoned on the line and i was making more money than everyone except the store manager. Then i moved away to live with a girl i met on twitter. Being nineteen was awesome.
Of course. That's the whole point of being a chef. Once everything is perfect it's time to move on and improve the next place until you open your own.
>>22029077The nearby pizzeria used to give a thing of free dip. I told them they really ought to charge for the dip, cause the pizza was already a really good deal.

>>22029077I've never worked in a restaurant. I gave a pretty good idea to one of the chicks at the Costco food court who was always nice to me, but she told me a week or two later that her supervisor told her they wouldn't implement it because of COVID.Do keep in mind that this was in 2025. My local Costco's food court management is still utterly fucking retarded about WuFlu. IDK how long they simply deleted all their tables and required people to take their food outside to eat it, but even when they finally unfucked their brains enough to reopen the food court inside, they've only ever put in two rows of tables (used to have three). People are always having to stand around and wait for tables to open, or worse, share tables with strangers, which if you think about it is an even worse risk for COVID than just putting back the fucking tables that they used to have.Still not as bad as the dumb bitch who was not only wearing an N95 mask of her own, but also forced all three of her grade-school-age kids to wear N95 masks, while eating at the food court, and only pulling the masks down to take bites of food. It's fucking child abuse and those kids are going to grow up absolutely mindfucked.
>>22029077I worked in a machining factory for 6 years and made changes that saved hundreds of thousands of dollars and no one cared. So I don’t care about your stupid food drama

>>22029077I worked at a fried chicken place in the back of a gas station that started as a franchise of Krispy Krunchy but they changed owners and went independent, so I had to come up with a fried chicken recipe on my own using ingredients from different suppliers. My recipe is literally just a marinade of water, kosher salt, Lawry’s seasoned salt and black pepper, dredged in House Autry brand chicken breaderIt’s kept the business afloat for like 3-4 years straight at this point, people love it
