People keep saying that soda is bad for you and by this they mean the amount of sugar they can have, but what if you only drink sugar-free soda? Let's suppose normal consumption, like 2 or 3 servings a week, why would it hurt you long term?
>>22030062>and by this they mean the amount of sugar they can haveincorrect.it's bad for you because it has zero redeeming qualities.the carbonation is also poisonous.
even without sugar the acidity damages your teeth and sweeteners are carcinogenic
>>22030068>the carbonation is also poisonous.Sounds like pseudoscience to me

>>22030062On the off chance this isnt a troll, it turns out its not just how much sugar they have but the type, fructose it turns out is much worse for you than glucose, it makes you pack on fat significantly more and it also causes deposits in your arteries. On the other hand the sweetners in diet soda are pretty much all really bad for you in the causes cancer and other diseases range. The truly dangerous thing about both types however is that you can consume either of them for years without seeing the negative effects until one day you either have diabetes all of a sudden or are dieing of a cancer.tldr just dont be dumb and stay away from sodas
>>22030173Even my teeth is bad for my teeth
>>22030062>sugar-free sodaThose are even worse. Experiencing sugary sweetness without actual sugar really messes up your body, without getting into problems with specific sweeteners. There is simply no way to win with sweet beverages. Join Team Bitter, we've got the goods.
>>22030286>fructose it turns out is much worse for you than glucoseSome studies I've looked at said that may not necessarily be true. Excess consumption of either fructose or glucose both cause a similar amount of prbolems, just in different ways. Fructose affects the liver more but glucose affects blood sugar more.I think the lack of nutrients and all the other highly processed ingredients in soda are probably more of an issue than the sugar itself. If you got sugar from fruit you're really unlikely to have those issues. If soda is the only processed thing you consume you're probably still not too likely to develop major health issues from it though it's still not the best choice.
>>22030332if you're grinding your teeth, this is actually very true.
>>22030062artificial sweeteners either mess up your gut, your brain or both. absolutely do not drink sugarfree soda. drink soda made with real sugar in moderation.
>>22030436>drink soda made with real sugar in moderation.reminder that there is almost no difference between cane sugar and HFCS
