I remember going on a trip for work and I was totally unprepared so when I got to the hotel, I walked down the street to a Publix and bought two packs of English Muffins, peanut butter, jelly, and a giant bag of chips. Most miserable 4 days of my life. I agree that ordering out every meal is retarded, but this boomer moralizing where you have to eat a can of beans and 1/10 a bag of rice for every meal, meanwhile they bought a mansion for 100k in 1992 after getting a job at their dad's company is equally ridiculous.

That doesn't change the fact that between a boomer billionaire saying to pack your own lunch, and a boomer billionaire telling you to go out and support food and service businesses, the former is clearly the one that actually benefits you. For what it's worth, I've never read Kevin O'Leary cry about about le millennials killing any of that shit. It's mostly (not entirely) a case of two different faggot groups with opposing views speaking up at different times like >>22030407 got at. Honestly, it feels like slop addicts often use this as an excuse to keep eating overpriced slop to own the boomers when all they're doing is owning themselves.
>>
>>22030411
It absolutely is "learn to code" lol you're just a disingenuous retard. Working in a coal mine is just as fucking stupid as eating McDonald's every day, but a billionaire telling someone to just learn to code or only eat the cheapest most processed sandwiches you can make until you can afford a house totally misses the root of the issue. At least a billionaire saying that makes sense because they ARE out of touch, you're probably just a retarded bootlicking normal

Pretty much. Easily accessible luxuries are the only things keeping the average amerifat boomer from going postal, way more so than zoomers. You can just look at what fast food companies literally say themselves, that a lot of the financial stress in the industry right now is because younger people increasingly choose to eat at home to save money. Millennial and older are the ones who cry about this shit because they actually remember a time when fast food was cheap and they feel entitled to that.
>>
>>22030600
My local walmart had ground turkey $2/lb the other week. I only ever use it to make dog food, though.
>>
>>22030588
>It absolutely is "learn to code" lol you're just a disingenuous retard.
How is "learn to feed yourself for cheaper" analogous to learning a completely unrelated skill to wholly change your career and income?

Are you some zoomer who thinks cooking is some insurmountable skill because you're so busy using your skills on tiktok?
>>
>>22030615
If you're getting turkey for $2/lb I guarantee you the only thing it's good for is feeding to your dog

loaf of bread $1.65
peanut butter $2.15
jelly $2.75
18 pack chips $6.95
3 lbs gala apples $2.99

Prices seemed pretty high in that example, not sure why you would spend that much on cheap slop.
You could make an actually decent lunch for like $2 and just pack it with you instead of a bunch of sugar and deep fried carbs.

baked/seasoned chicken leg quarter $1.50
roasted red potato $0.30
1 cup mixed veggies $0.30

You could do something like that instead which would be much more nutritious and wholesome, and still be very inexpensive.
>>
>>22030632
>not sure why you would spend that much on cheap slop.
I assume the supposition is pre-sidestepping all the usual arguments against cooking your own food or bringing lunch with you to work.
>I can't cook at work
>I can't cook
>I don't know how to cook
>I work in an office and can't microwave anything
>I don't own tupperware, its simply too expensive
The usual dumb shit where people will cry over $20 lunches but a $20 set of tupperware and using it for years is a bridge too far sorta nonsense.
>>
>>22030619
>Are you some zoomer who thinks cooking is some insurmountable skill
I'm a zoomer and I cook lol. In fact I learned to cook on my own because neither of my parents knew how to cook and I got tired of eating McDonald's.
>learning a completely unrelated skill
A grown adult should be able to learn a new skill, moron. The cope that it's zoomers who cry about fast food prices is hilarious when these companies themselves say that zoomers are the most likely to choose to cook at home instead. Retarded boomers who refuse to learn anything new are the ones crying on the internet (primarily). But I actually have compassion for people and understand that even something that seems simple like cooking is hard to get into for people who have never done it and have 0 guidance. It's the same for coding. In fact it's probably more retarded to be completely tech illiterate in a country dominated and led by its tech sector than it is to not know how to cook in a country where the fucking president has probably never cooked a meal in his life and serves McDonald's when he's hosting people at the white house lmao
>>
>>22030644
>these companies themselves say that zoomers are the most likely to choose to cook at home instead.
Objectively zoomers spend twice as much of their income on takeout than boomers.
>>
Having a job is the problem, NEET for life crew.
>>
>>22030649
Because zoomers make less than boomers I'm assuming. Besides the fact that whatever you're citing (if you're even citing something real) is probably self reported, you'd also have to compare income and probably location, like do they live in food desert for example. I'm also using boomer as in anyone older than zoomers, obviously actual boomers are too old to leave the house and probably go full retard if they see a screen in a McDonald's anyway.
Either way zoomers not eating out as much as people say wasn't even my main point but of course a disingenuous prick with no worldview and nothing real to say would only want to respond to that
>>
>>22030644
>A grown adult should be able to learn a new skill, moron.
A coal miner should be able to learn to code too?

To be clear, it sounds like you're being a pedant arguing over minute nonsense when in reality you agree with me. You agree people should stop crying about $20 mcdonalds lunches and just make their own food
>But I actually have compassion
Oh, you're a woman.
>>
>>22030661
>A coal miner should be able to learn to code too?
Yup. Anyone can.
>in reality you agree with me. You agree people should stop crying about $20 mcdonalds lunches and just make their own food
Nope. We aren't in the frontier days anymore. This hasn't been a country of self reliance for a long time so I don't blame people for lacking basic survival skills in a country where countless people become rich and famous everyday without even knowing how to wipe their own ass. As Woody Guthrie said, the gambling man is rich and the working man is poor.
>Oh, you're a woman.
Nope.
>>
>>22030139

>>
>>22030661

There are a lot of efforts going on in coal country to retrain coal miners into advanced manufacturing, which does involve basic coding.
It’s really cool and i just wanted to share.
I don’t think it’s womanly to be compassionate, society needs some level of compassion to be high trust and resilient.

Idk bros, I easily spend $50 to $120 on groceries per week. Add in cottage cheese, other cheese, oats, nuts, frozen fruit, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, beans, spices, butter, coffee filters, cleaning supplies, paper towels, TP, dish detergent, soap, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, one snack item per week, some beers for the weekend, and it really adds up. I make real meals for lunch, and eat out when i want to. And I expect the American economy to provide the excellence it should.
Full time workers should be able to participate in the economy beyond basic necessities.
But cucks like you fawn over people telling them what to do to feel like they’re doing something right and better than others. I can take care of myself and acknowledge how fucked the economy is, and how stupid it is to consistently tell the poors to suck it up.

Alright, thats not against the law. I assume you're still spending within your means, again as the billionaires suggest you should be doing.
>And I expect the American economy to provide the excellence it should.
Sounds like its working as intended, whats your issue?
>Full time workers should be able to participate in the economy beyond basic necessities.
Labor isn't paid based on hours put in, its based on the value of the labor itself. Its nice to be idealistic and suggest "full time work=luxury living" but it just doesn't work that way. Someone working 40 hours a week at Burger King simply cannot have the same lifestyle of a plumber, lawyer, doctor, or accountant working 40 hours a week. You can make a 'comfortable' living working nearly any job 40 hours a week. If you're uncomfortable its because there are more laborers capable of doing that job than employers are willing to pay. Stop being dumb and pretending economics doesn't exist.

Nobody is telling poors to suck it up. People with sense are telling poors to stop being bad with money.

It's genuinely amazing how many olds I've worked with that can't do math or send an email yet they're grandfathered into these massive salaries while the newbies make nothing.
Also I regularly eat for less than a dollar a day. Today's food cost was extremely low. $0.50 pan au chocolat, some yogurt, and coffee for breakfast. Leftover borscht for lunch. Might have some liver sausage for dinner.

What was the last year that this lifestyle was available in your place of living?

I love how anally obliterated the poors get when you tell them not to buy Starbucks and pack their lunch. Something so simple is gold tier rage bait to normies poors

Like i said you sound smart, you'll make it happen eventually. Wish the best for you and your family, keep your eyes on the prize to lock down a good life for you all because the only justice that comes to you in this world is what you make happen.

We have our ways. We tend to lack patience for bootlicking faggots like that Dave Ramsey dude.

I live in rural Pennsylvania and my house is 110 years old but is in good shape and has 3 bedrooms and 2 floors. Land around here is very expensive because of natural gas fracking so I'd bet there are much cheaper regions.

>>22031831
If you aren't willing to relocate to buy a house then you have no right to complain that you can't buy a house.
>>
>>22031829
Thanks anon.
Here is a recipe I used to make coffee syrup for the first time today. Yes, it is total sugar slop, but if you want to replicate the sweet iced lattes you can buy at chains without the preservatives, it's perfect. Even better, it's like those pre-made coffees you get at the grocery store or gas station, but you don't have to make it disgustingly sweet. (Just pour into milk to taste.)

Very cool, (((anon))). Thanks for the tip.

No, I'm discussing the post at hand. Your defense of their bullshit doesn't make it any less legible
I don't hate rich people, I think there are out of touch asshole getting attention instead of the actual problems with the economy

Again, choosing to be poor out of spite is not intelligent. If you choose to continue living a life that keeps you poor, then your poverty is your fault. You have plenty of options.

I'm not, thanks for enquiring.
>You have plenty of options.
Yes, you can either lower your head and try to be a better goy than your neighbour, or ally with him to make it so a working man shouldn't have to live off the same rice and beans the slaves used to eat.

Zoomers are such turds
>>
>>22031870
No, because my parents live with me. They live with me because they were too stupid to buy their own house. They gave all of they money to landlords their entire lives and now it's my problem.

>>22031874
I actually have no idea what youre even trying to say to me. Are you telling me to overthrow the government or something? That doesn't sound realistic.
>>
>>22031845
>I think there are out of touch asshole getting attention instead of the actual problems with the economy
His point wasn't to address problems with the economy, it was pointing out how stupid people are stupid with money.
>wah, i can't afford $15 fast food or $25 doordash!
Thats what he was addressing. That doesn't invalidate, negate, or ignore actual problems with the economy, he's pointing out how cattle are cattle. I'm sorry you cannot think outside the bun and see that. Not everything has to be a "why isn't he addressing the 67,000 other problems with the nebulous subject surrounding his point" statement.
>>
>>22031879
Ahhh you have family trauma. That's why your world view is so self-centered.
>>

I don't have family trauma I have retard trauma from dealing with people like you every day of my life. People who blame everyone except themselves for their shitty lives. I feel like I'm the only sane person left on the planet.

>>22031887
No you're right. It's everyone else that's the problem.

There's plenty to do in that "or something" my dear goycattle friend.
>>
>>22031912
I would wager that I do more to help those around me on a weekly basis than you do on a yearly basis. But honestly outside of my friends and family I don't really feel a connection to society anymore. The last couple years have really turned the average person into an ape. Yesterday I was going to donate something to a local charity and honestly I don't know if anyone deserves charity anymore. I think about the kind of person who is going to go there and take the items I donated and I don't think it's going to be someone who needs or deserves it.

But I have no delusions that I will somehow enact societal change.

This whole discourse is hilarious. Zoomer retards think they're owed a fast food meal every lunch after doing 4 hours of their do nothing clothes folding or clicking on the computer, all whil3 being fat already.

Their biggest hang up on being told to "cook" is that these retards litteraly dont even know how to operate a stove. Something like boiling pasta is litteraly out of reach for them.

The funniest part is that, these retards throw their hands at the recommendation of a PB&J as a signal of poverty, but jump for joy Uncrustables and a Mcdouble. Fucking lol

Complaining about the inability to buy cheap lunch is complaining about the economy, so why would he address the issue of the economy in that dismissive out of touch way?

>the answer to not being poor is always "eat like a fucking rat and survive on beans and grains until you save up enough to buy a house"
What if I don't want to be miserable for the next 5 years? I legitimately cook 99% of all the food I eat and shit is still way too expensive. Even when I'm trying to be extra cheap and only buy the cheapest meats and veg while keeping basic nutrition in mind I still get fucked.

You lot are really incorrigible, aren't you? If you one day grow out of your misplaced sense of superiority over your fellow man, hope you'll have some life and energy left from the greyhound race you seem to dedicate your life to.

This is the same nonsense as thinking homeless people have tons of cash for drugs. The people eating out are the top 10% already. 60% do not have jobs at all. The only thing they are going to be eating are the retards who keep talking shit.

>packing a sandwich for lunch?
back in the bad olde 1990s, after the end of the 1980s housing bubble collapse, i ate 10 cent bittery butter biscuits for lunch at school. 10 cent biscuits don't exist now.

now i eat a can of Pringles for work-lunch. that or a Mcchikken, if i am feeling fancy and there was McRonald's nearby. the Burger Kings are too damn high!

you zoomers are too fancy nancy for my fancy lunch!

If you really want to save money pack rice for lunch. The Bengali guy who got fired at my work for brazenly stealing boxes of stock, walking out the side door and putting them in his car, all on camera used to bring a tupperware full of rice to work and eat it cold on his break. Weird guy but that's the cheapest lunch I've seen.
