I save all my chicken bones in the freezer.
Then I simmer them for 10 hours
Tastes gud

It's called STOCK.

"Bone broth" is a marketing gimmick to sell overpriced broth at the store. No wonder you don't know anything; you're searching under the wrong terminology.

>saiyan

What the fuck does that mean?

Spotted the Europoor
>>
I just buy boxes of it at the store.

I haven't made it for a while, but I used to add chicken feet for the gelatin. Pro ramen chefs do that to. The gelatin is a good treatment for some kinds of stomach pain. Wouldn't recommend if you want it to taste good though.

NTA but homemade stock is always better than any store product. It's not about saving money, it's about a better flavor.

only 1 post has actually replied op's question

Alright, you want babies first chicken broth?

Go buy a $5 costco chicken. Grab some carrots, celery, onions.
Go home, eat the chicken over the sink like the dirty animal you are.
Chuck the carcas and the veggies in a pot, keep it tight, fill the pot with water up to the pile.
Lid on, heat it up to a good simmer, go for 3 hours.
Strain the veggies out, or blend them for extra health but worse broth

Season to preference, I like pepper salt and paprika.

I do stovetop.
Part of it is that I have made a better job of incorporating veggies in my diet, so I've got a lot of celery ends, carrot ends, and pepper tips that I save up on over the course of a month and use that with whatever bones I've saved up. And I dump that all in a pot, plus half an onion. After that, it's just filling the pot with water then keeping it at a simmer for 10 hours.

I've won small regional awards using that as my base for soup.
But as a note, I also smoke my chickens so that adds a LOT to the flavor profile.

This.
It's honestly one of the biggest discrepancies in store bought vs. home cooked products.
