>>22031446They are more aromatic than onions but if you need large quantities onions are better. Practical for sauces where you need one or two of them but unconvenient if you want to make goulash.
There's a pink onion I buy from Greece, it's mild and sweet like shallots and it's cheaper. They don't sell it in my country unfortunately.
