I've really taken to creamy blended root vegetable soup which I suspect I'll keep making throughout the winter
I use things like:

I don't see the point in separating types of soup. I pick the top 5 phytonutrient rich vegetables I have, boil them with chicken meat on bone, add glutamate, herbs and spices, and then blend. I call it "soup". Current "soup" is beets, parsley root, cabbage, onion, carrot. Soon dried aronia berries will arrive and so I will also add those.
