When's the last time /ck/ cleaned out their cabinets?
I havent touched most of this stuff in over 3 years. The bottom is encrusted with honey and spilled spices. I'm going to throw every single bit of this away and start over.

here's the adjoining cabinet. this is where i put things i might actually use so i didnt have to open the other cabinet. i think there's some old appliances back there, excited to see what i got.

I want to say I cleaned mine good about 5 years ago, but if I stop and think it was probably more like 10. Maybe more. I remember I found a pack of Oreos hidden on the top that had been expired for a good 5 years.

I deep cleaned this cabinet a few months back. Threw away about four large garbage bags full of old canned goods. Now it's emergency cat food storage, and other bulk stuff.

It's mined in Britain.
When kids are expelled from school, they are sent to the salt mines to repay their sins.

The top shelf I haven't gone through in many years. I need to do it at some point. I even have the obligatory bitters I never use. The salt should be fine.

No... Between me and my wife, we couldn't even remember which of us hid it from the other one, we still joke about that one. I'm pretty sure there was food coloring from the early 90's in the back of a cabinet as well. I bought the house from my mother in law in '98, and I never bought any food coloring.

NTA but I am American and I grew up in a family of hoarders but I am Kondo pilled. I don't hold on to shit because I am scared 10 months from now I may need some obscure sneed oil to make some dish I won't even enjoy.

People will buy a $1000 dollar iPhone every year, but will wince in horror if you suggest throwing away some crusted over bottle in their cabinet with a trail of roach shit leading to it.

PRECIOUS :3

I did this around Halloween while watching scary movies
Wasn’t so bad, hasn’t been done in probably 5 or so years

My dishwasher has been broken for like ten years and I think I've opened it once during that span. I'm afraid to look in it.
>>
>>22033944
Just get a roach bomb and open it really quickly, shut it, and report back in a few hours with pics.
>>
>>22033944
i had this situation for about 4 years. i left it so long i forgot exactly how it was broken, so i actually opened it the other day and tried to use it. it leaks out the front door but it isnt as bad as i remember.
if you can get it fixed you'll really appreciate how much time it saves, now that you're used to hand washing everything. that shit is a beating.

When i was a kid a drank a 3yr expired slimfast
It was kinda chalky but still good entry for a starving kid
>>
>>22033944
Imagine being so poor you can't afford a functioning dishwasher. I think our local appliance store sells used models they get opn trade in for 180 bucks that they overhaul. You can get a regular dishwasher for like, 450 bucks now.
>>
>>22035655
my mom tried to do the slimfast diet for a long time and i would always pilfer them from the fridge after school. theyre like pudding milkshakes. good shit.
>>
>>22033992
I regularly buy stuff a few months past expiry date at the salvage grocery store near me. It's fine, most modern food is given best by rather than mandatory. So canned goods, I've eaten three years before. Hot sauce, ketchup, soy sauce last for years, but thier taste degrades.

I won't fuck with dairy products. You can get away with hard cheeses like parmesan Reggiano but if it gets moldy you're fucked.
>>
>>22035659
I make a decent living. I can afford a new one no problem, I'm just specifically lazy and mildly agoraphobic. Getting a new fridge was an ordeal for me, but that's far more necessary so I had to bite the bullet and do it.
