New York style (American pizza) is objectively better.

I didn't know Dave Portnoy posted here! Or heah, as he would say, while blowing his nose on a hot and dry summer day!

I agree, but to be totally fair I have only had Italian style pizzas made in America, so I cannot judge based on eating in Italy.

The style is still good, but it's a different experience. It's not as fun as New York style, where you either grab a quick slice or share a pie with your friends, putting basically whatever toppings you want on.

Don't worry. Everyone can tell.

Pizza started out as a poor mans food in Naples and was just a flatbread (mastunicola) with a mixture of rotting leftover vegetables, lard and olive oil but it didn't become a hallmark of Italian cuisine until you had Americans asking for pizza in areas of Italy that weren't familiar with it since it was almost exclusively eaten in the Naples region.

that "italian" pizza isn't even traditional. that kind of pizza was invented around the same time as the american kind.
>>
They don't even look that different. Italian has more burnt spots and NY has more cheese and evenly spread.
>>
American pizza is objectively better. Deal with it.
>>

Nothing beats some truly authentic Italian pizza though!
>barely any cheese
>barely any sauce
>whole fucking leaves on top
>literally burnt crust
It really reflects their beautiful culture (lazy and poor)
>>
>>22033861
Again, wrong. Authentic ethnic food is fine, but nothing beats the refinement of a culturally-diverse melting pot like the U.S.
>>
>>22033803
It is, but italian is also good.
