>be me and follow a recipe online thate exists
>simple penne pasta garlic recipe
>calls for cottage cheese so I buy that
>make it and its literally only like 6 steps
>some of the most foul shit I have ever smelled or tasted, like 100x garlic mixed with sweatsocks
>I made pic related basically

Why is it everytime i try to make food it comes out radioactive or just a troll recipe. Where can I find good recipes?

It sounds like you're so new to cooking you can't tell which recipes are bullshit.
Garlic penne made with cottage cheese?
> Shiggy
You should share the link to it

Avoid allrecipes like the plague all the shit on there is garbage. Try some stuff from KAB or Alton Brown. Do small half or quarter batches until you find out what you like so you don't waste food making something you don't like. Good luck!

>Garlic penne made with cottage cheese?
It's not quite that unusual, though something like ricotta cheese would be more typical for a pasta dish. Cottage cheese is often used as a substitute. It sounds like OP used too much garlic or it wasn't cooked long enough to mellow the flavor.
>>
>>22034495
Sounds awful desu
I do think you're right about their mistake though, I wonder if the recipe gave an unrealistic time to saute the garlic?
>>
>>22034493
americas test kitchen is good for beginners because the recipes explain why they do the things they do. however it is a paywalled website.
>>
>>22034490
this! when you know how to cook you learn when recipes are bullshit. you also learn when to modify recipes.
>>
>>22034481
post recipe otherwise you are lying.

youtube shorts, because they are made for the dumbest, most illiterate subhumans (like me)

There are several paywall bypassing sites.

From my experience, cottage cheese sucks fucking dick.
Did you look up a "protein" recipe, a "healthy mom" recipe or did you just stumble upon a recipe that exists independently of those two things?
>>
>>22035086
Cottage cheese is good, you’re doing it wrong
>>
>>22035339
nah its gross
>>
>>22035342
You’re still doing it wrong
>>
>>22035343
cream cheese is worse
but sour cream is alright
>>
>>22035086
DID YOU KNOW IF YOU MIX A KILOGRAM OF COTTAGE CHEESE WITH ONE SPOON OF COCOA POWDER YOU GET A DELICIOUS PROTEIN RICH SNACK?
>>
>>22035339
Cottage cheese is good with pepper on it, it’s not good in sauces or “high protein” desserts

>>22035836
Exactly
>>
>>22034481
Stop making tiktok recipes.
>>
>>22034481
Use an actual physical cookbook printed on paper before the mid 2010s. Everything else is incompetently recycled slop from the internet with a whore's whore face attached because she sucked off the publisher, and it gets exponentially worse when you hit the LLM event horizon

Try the Jacques Pepin Cooking at Home serious on YT. The rest are just random feminists with journalism degrees making up random crap.
