I bent my fucking Lidl spatula making smash burgers. Is there anyway in the cucked shithole UK where I can actually buy good kitchen gear?
>>

That's what you get for attempting to cook crispy burnt meme patties.
>>
>>22036303
Next time just use a another pan and some parchment or wax paper to press
>>

Dear handicap, you'd need
>cling film for less mess
>A small to medium sized flat plate
>Baking paper cut to accommodate each patty
>Oil
Oil the surface that will be in contact with the meat and place the mince ball onto the cling film and gently, push down on it with your plate, take a look at it fix the sides as you need to to keep the patty uniform and rip-free. Do the gentle presses 2-3 times until you're satisfied with the uniformity and thickness. Place on the precut baking papers. Use George foreman-style double sided grill and grill the burgers with the paper on for about 3-4 minutes. The rest is up to you how you dress it.

Yeah that sounds decent. The only issue is that I only do it this way because it's way simpler to just flatten them with a spatula than bother individually shaping them so I want to keep it quick and easy.
>>22036305
Yeah whatever, buddy.
>>
1. A spatula is not for smashing things, it's for flipping.
2. You bought one of the cheapest spatulas you could, real cooking equipment costs £10 up for a single spatula.
3. You are a cuck.
>>
>>22036303
I bet Keir Starmer did this
>>
>>22036324
Hmm. You may be onto something. I could just not bother with the spatula and press down with my hand and some baking paper.
>>
>>22036335
You will never go back once you this. The result is pro-tier.
>>
>>22036335
Use a spatula and press down on it with a meat tenderizer

meme unitasker.
A quality heavy duty spatula does the same thing and it's more versatile
>>
>>22036349
>Unitasker

Retards took the meme too seriously
>>
>>22036303
Oi do you have a loicense for that spatula

You don't live in the UK anyway.

This is a just a ragebait thread.

Any spatula will bend if you keep making smash burgers with it.
That's the nature of thin steel.

these are too big for my cast iron pan but great on the cast iron plate i do burgers on
>>22036303
potato masher with foil covering the bottom. you're a retard for using and buying a cheap shitting spatula probably from some bbq kit for the bank holiday that will get thrown out on tuesday
>>
>>22036342
>>22036349
it's not a unitasker. you can also use it as a weight for chicken breasts and boneless thighs, fish etc. to make sure it gets cooked evenly and browned properly.
without the huge, round, heavy weight you also won't get a great smashburger because you can't really "smear" the patty all over the place evenly

>24 pounds

>plastic grip

god damn i should start selling cheap chinese kitchen appliances on amazon too, so many retards out there
>>
>>22036349
A unitasker is great depending on how often you need it for that task.
If he only needs to smash burgers once then yeah, unneeded. But if he plans to do it regularly then it is his best man.

>>22036384
Hey, at least it's not a deadly bicycle wheel like all those killer gangs are using
>>
>>22036423
that's a pretty large spatula, and quality kitchen utensils are not cheap.
I paid mine significantly less a few years ago btw.
>>
>be an oafish retard who buys cheap garbage
>"its the UKs fault I have been scorned"

Yeah you are totally not the causer of your own problems.
>>
>>22036423
>24 pounds
Now THAT's a spatula heavy enough to smash some burgers!

use an actual burger spatula, assuming they aren't classified as deadly weapons there.
>>
>>22036752
you'll still need to press it with something else if you want a truly smash'd borg. i use a potato smasher on top of this.
