Are AI-created recipes hard to swallow?

yes

based, have a cram-tastic week

I've had it write me some pretty good recipes. Turn search on and it will look at other recipes, pick bits from each of them, and compose something good out of all of them. It's made me a nice chicken ramen recipe and a good adaption of beef birria around the dried chillies I could get.

The hardest pill to swallow is seeing a silly animal or food/cooking video where the animal behaves in a strange and novel way or the food is interesting, and the mind used to run to two possibilities: it's a crazy real thing that I'm happy was filmed, or it's a fake that at least had time put and sweat into its making.
Now the third and much more likely scenario is "some faggot took 15 seconds to prompt genAI" and that's not nearly as fun.

A couple weeks back I took a picture of the contents of my fridge, pantry, and spices, and told it to go to town, and it came up with a bunch of ideas. Like the other anon said, turn on search and use whatever "thinking" slow mode it has. Hasn't hallucinated with me yet, but I keep conversations short and I mostly use it for ideas.
>>
>>22038098
yes, we've realized that most of the enjoyment of art comes from the implied audacity of making an idea real. a magic computer doing it is just boring.

Holy shit, you just reminded me of this book series I read as a kid.

Even before it was fake it was fake.
People have been overly trusting of video and image forever, even before they could be generated by AI. I didn't even consider the toothpick thing.

>I didn't even consider the toothpick thing.
I get it. Some dots are harder for certain people to connect.
