This "Farmer's Fridge" stuff any good? I see it at airports and at Target.
>>
>>22039868
no, it's shark tank detritus. you are supposed to acknowledge it and keep walking.
>>
Over Christmas, I was in hospital for emergency surgery and there was nothing I could eat after and they wouldn't let my wife in to see me for some reason. Like legitimately nothing on the patient menu was anything I could actually eat because the doctors and nurses have zero understanding of my extremely rare condition (fewer that 1000 people on earth with it, up from exactly 330 when I was first diagnosed) and how it's managed with diet. No, a cheeseburger or omelette is not helpful. Let my wife in to bring me something green. Or at least let her hand off something green to staff. Or fucking something, Jesus.
A nurse listened to me explain what I need to eat and she got me a kale salad one of these things from a machine in the hall. I gave her cash for it but the machine apparently takes digital wallet payments.
It wasn't great but it was exactly what I needed to not fucking die so i appreciated it.
That's all I know about it.

The fact that they make Mediterranean food tells you they have bad taste. Avoid.

do they really charge 10 bucks for a portion of precooked pasta al pesto?
>>

>$10
Christ, hell no!

I was given one once for free from family. Underneath the green lid there is a small plastic holder for the sauce. I was given some sort of asian salad one, like it used a sesame seed dressing. I recall it being quite tasty. I still have the green container to hold my sticks of cinnamon (I keep the container in the dark so don't @ me).

But for $10 hell fucking no. If it came in a pack of 4 or something, then maybe.

You sound like a pussy.
>>
>>22040067
No. I still ate that omelette and that cheeseburger but I needed to get 85g, raw weight, of dark, leafy greens in my diet to keep my dietary vitamin k consistent.

>Approximately 805 cases of CAPS have been reported worldwide
I'm possibly the world record holder for living with this shit, coming up on 18 years, and I think it's specifically because of how meticulous I am about maintaining my fitness and diet. Half of people die soon after diagnosis (which is just "oh shit, you have multiple organ failure out of fucking nowhere and hundreds of blood clots, you have CAPS!") and the survivors tend to die within 5,5 years, after they have a second storm.
That's why there are fewer than 1k people with it.

>>22040098
If you are what you eat, sure. That's why you're such a dick and asshole, I guess.

>$10 for 8oz of cooked pasta with pesto
Surely nobody actually spends this much on cold pre-packaged pasta. That's just silly.
>>
>>22040136
If you look at the price tag closely it says SW CHICKN SALAD. The price of the pesto pasta is unknown.

yeah every supermarket/convenience store has been doin this for a while now.
$1 of food in a $10 container, then proudly boasting +83% increase in profits each year.
>>
>>22039868
>reusable container
don't mind if I do
>>
>>22039868
I would not pay $10 for that, it would probably actually be cheaper (per cal/LB) to doordash chipotle to you
>>
>>22039868
A box of the highest quality pasta is like $5. A can of chickpeas is like $1, quinoa is maybe twice as expensive as rice.

Pesto can be bought or made, I guess pine nuts are kind of expensive.

I am not paying $10 for 5 mouthfuls of food, this shit is greenwashing too, literally, nothing farmer about it.
>>
>>22040102
Holy shit. But yeah, I hope you keep on trucking.

Well gee. I wasn't expecting well-wishes. Thanks very much. I just had yet another checkup (I go every four weeks) and my PT/INR is still in range. CAPS is a son of a bitch but so am I.
>>
The $9.99 price tag isn't for the pesto pasta, you bunch of morons. It's for SW CHICKN SALAD

>shark tank detritus
You mean that stupid TV show where every contestant is trying to pitch a new food fad to the "judges"? I've caught bits and pieces of it because my dementia-addled mom watches that show on Friday nights.

I just want to drop all the contestants into either a volcano or a sulfuric acid tank. Is that so much to ask?

>ten dollars for noodle salat
The dollar is now officially zimbabwe currency.
>>
>pesto pasta
>$9.99
Ya no. I can just make that easily myself. Hell I'd settle for a jar of pesto over a pre assembled kit.
>>
>>22040040
the $10 is for the chicken wraps.
the salads are probably all around 6.49.
still a rip off
>>
>>22044140
Those hard plastic jars are surprisingly sturdy and likely expensive. They probably take up a good portion of the cost.
>>
>>22045777
It's the same material as peanut butter plastic or mayo plastic, the recyclable triangle PETE 1. It shorter than them and skinner, so near the tops and bottoms it's somewhat more sturdy. The sturdier lids are the same, PP 5 plastic. Something like skippy peanut butter doesn't come close to $10.

Idk, I think it's some mixture of smaller company and forced to keep the supply fresh (wet spinach doesn't last). Imo it's just dumb upper middle class food.
