Over Christmas, I was in hospital for emergency surgery and there was nothing I could eat after and they wouldn't let my wife in to see me for some reason. Like legitimately nothing on the patient menu was anything I could actually eat because the doctors and nurses have zero understanding of my extremely rare condition (fewer that 1000 people on earth with it, up from exactly 330 when I was first diagnosed) and how it's managed with diet. No, a cheeseburger or omelette is not helpful. Let my wife in to bring me something green. Or at least let her hand off something green to staff. Or fucking something, Jesus.A nurse listened to me explain what I need to eat and she got me a kale salad one of these things from a machine in the hall. I gave her cash for it but the machine apparently takes digital wallet payments. It wasn't great but it was exactly what I needed to not fucking die so i appreciated it.That's all I know about it.

I was given some sort of asian salad one, like it used a sesame seed dressing. I recall it being quite tasty. The sturdier lids are the same, PP 5 plastic.
