fellow europoor who has been to the states a handful of times.
they're fine. generally speaking, they aren't particularly better or worse than whatever I can find at the grocery store. however they are more "indulgent" than european snacks, the portions are larger and they taste sweeter (which is can be a bad thing). i will say that I am quite fond of jolly ranchers and it saddens me that I cannot get my hands on any where I live.

Europe has very strict about what foods can be allowed. We care about the health of our people, it is why we consider healthcare a human right and have it for free whereas you will be bankrupt from an infection.

They can be. Most of the crap in the picture is meh, aside from Oreos. Top tier:
>Cheetos (especially Flamin' Hot)
>Coca Cola (not really a snack, but you got Gatorade in your pic)
>beef jerky
>Warheads
>Star Crunch
>Cheez-it
>aforementioned Jolly Ranchers
>Starburst
>Whoppers (picrel, not the burger, though the burger has improved recently)
>fried pies
There's really a lot. We have entire aisles for chips, candies, snack cakes, and so on.

I'm not paying 32 euros + 23 euros of shipping for 600g of Jolly Ranchers. I'm not that desperate. And that's only like, 100g of blue jolly ranchers at most (the only flavor that the hard candy I can find over here can't replace).

Lucky bastard... well, at least I can get my hands on Chartreuse Verte and niche cheeses (i fucking love bleu de termignon and l'étivaz) for a reasonable price.
>>
>>22041360
Bro, there's mold on that cheese.
>>
>>22041362
Good! Mold is good for the soul. Fun fact, bleu de termignon is technically a blue cheese but due to the fickle nature of the specific type of mold used for bleu de termignon, the cheese may not end up being blue at all. It still tastes the same and the mold is still there but it just isn't "blue" at all despite being blue cheese.

yeah that's why they dont have to reveal the ingredients they put in food lol

FDA regulations are perfectly decent, you would know this if you actually did any research. They are flawed of course but aren't horrible overall. Americans are unhealthy because many of them are retarded and uneducated, not because the government is poisoning them. Healthcare being expensive as shit is a completely different topic.

American society was the pinnacle of free society, which meant people were free to create both amazing beauty and hideous abominations. And that is what they did.

Jolly ranchers is one of the few good snacks that you can’t find in europe, Mike and Ike being another. Also Snyders honey mustard pretzel pieces and Cheetos. Otherwise yeah our stuff is as good or better these days.

Twinkies aren't the extent of our popular food brands. Frito Lay by itself churns out hundreds of products that yuropoors wish they could smell.

I agree some sort of imported american lemon taffy and if genuinely gave me a stomachache even though it was like 40 grams
>>
>>22041726
Taffy is either shit or real.
If you get some small batch taffy from some place in Savannah, it's good. Outside of that, you get Laffy Taffy.
>>
What international snacks do you guys got worth talking about?

>>22041252
Off the top of my head, the only thing worth mentioning are flavoured chips like Pringles, or Frito-Lay brands like Doritos and Kettle-Chip Lays. But otherwise I feel American snacks you can live without. I'm okay with Cheetos and could live without, but people here generally like em. Some flavored hard pretzels are pretty damn nice, like Snyder or Dots. I bet you can get popcorn anywhere, but cheese+caramel is a great combo that might be american, idk.

Oreos are a solid af cookie, and the only one worth talking about as you can make cookies yourself that are better than most store brands. Most baked goods are better fresh, which most countries have, So I would say anything made by Hostess or similar aren't worth mentioning.

I'd also say that most chocolate is better outside the country. Twix and Reese's are probably the best here imo (though I've heard Reese's changed their recipe and it's worse now), and for non-chocolate candy I'd say Skittles or Starburst.
I personally enjoy Health (toffee+chocolate) and Take-5 (pretzel, caramel, peanut butter, chocolate), but I rarely see them.
>>
>>22041811
After skimming the thread, imma add
>Cheez-Its
Cheesy cracker, super addictive, blows cheese goldfish out of the water
>Kit-kat
But actually, international kit kat might be better. Like, asian Kit kat flavours are super fun but I guess analytics says that Burgerfags won't like em or something cause all we get here are chocolate, and on occasion white, dark, or orange dye for halloween
>>
>>22041252
Mostly. Most of the sweets are way too sweet, with weird aftertaste, and makes you feel like shit after.

>>22041252
Generally speaking American junk food tastes pretty good. It has been perfected through rigorous experimentation by multi-billion dollar corporations in order to maximize its addictive qualities and uses all kinds of exotic ingredients and processing techniques in order to achieve a flavor and texture that makes you want to eat more of it. Of course, it's also pretty bad for your health so whatever.
