Thanks bro.

I threw it away. Should I throw the whole loaf away as well? I don’t see any mold on the other pieces and it’s a new loaf.
>>
>>22042189
I would toss it but I get really grossed out by mold, maybe just toss the couple pieces by the moldy piece
>>
>>22042189
Once mold starts in a bag of bread the entire loaf is infected regardless if you can see it or not, while you could technically still cook it (toast it) and it'll be safe I wouldn't as bread that has started to mold has a horrible funky musty taste.

Plus it's bread, it's like the cheapest thing in the world to buy. Just throw it out.

the spores are already all over the loaf. by tomorrow you'll have new blooms or the bread will just start tasting kinda sour. you can just cut off the visible spots and eat it if you're poor or lazy, it's not gonna make you sick or anything, but if you have a couple extra moneys just buy a new loaf.

Also if it's a new loaf just take it back to the store, even without a receipt they'll usually just let you grab a new loaf.

No its toes

Okay I’ll toss it. I was going to make an egg sandwich but I’ll just make scrambled eggs instead.

bread gets moldy like that because water condensates inside the plastic bag when you put it into a cold fridge.

If I put a bread bag into a fridge, I will leave the bag open for a couple hours to allow the temperature to reach an equilibrium. This seems to prevent moisture from accumulating

too naughty

it does get damp and musty in Hobbitown so I would imagine it's mold
>>
Definitely
>>
>>22042156
the heat of the mold cooks the bread
>>

As a rule of thumb, if you can SEE mold, there is much more that you can't see. That "bad apple spoils the bunch" idiom is used rhetorically but it has a literal origin.

>it's a new loaf
Why not take it back to the grocery store?
