Heat on

Now is the only hard part
Standing next to the stove for 35-40 minutes and stirring almost constantly

Start at medium heat until the milk gets bubbly, then go to low until the end
>>
I forgot to mention vanilla
I'm going to add some at the end

We can tell its near done when the rice begins appearing

I recommend tasting and taking it off the heat when the rice reaches a level of tenderness you like

Off the heat
Throw in a knob of butter and some vanilla to taste
Stir it up
Let cool a bit
Can serve hot or cold

If cold, put some plastic wrap right on it and stick it in the fridge
Itll get even thicker

The Japanese should invent a little robot whisker that you put in there and he swims around whisking for you.
>>
Give it a cute little face and have it make beep boop noises. You'll make millions.

>>22044538
Huh, never used rice for sweet.
>>
Looks so fucking good.
>>
>>22044538
Good job :)
>>
You can do it in the oven and it doesnt burn. Sure takes a bit longer, but easier
>>
Looks great. I wonder if adding some egg yolks would be worth doing. Cardamom might be great too
>>
>>22045370
I have never heard of this method

>>22045647
Tempering an egg or two and adding those in is a nice addition. Cardamom might be good too! My mom likes to add some lemon zest when she makes it.

Thanks for the compliments anons
One more tip- if the pudding thickens up too much in the fridge you can loosen it with a splash of milk

Personally I like it thick like concrete though
