Is it bad to eat "bottom feeder" animals? I thought shrimp was healthy because of lean protein and omegas

>Environmental/Health Concerns: Wealthy individuals with a focus on wellness or sustainability may avoid bottom-feeding shellfish in favor of higher-end, line-caught fish or premium caviar.
>>
>>22044551
Yes
This is why our forebears didnt eat pussy
>>
Wealthy families have had their paws on this world for the past century at least and look what happened. The fucking ocean is more plastic than fish.
Fuck those incompetents and their eating habits

Well that's the thing isn't it, common shellfish would be full of micro plastic, which they expect us to eat but wouldn't themselves
>>
>>22044573
So, what, you think they have their own private ocean in the middle of the earth or something? Are you one of THOSE people?
>>
>>22044551
Only sea food I trust is the local salmon I catch off the BC coast. Pretty rare though. I know a tropical bro who will only eat sea bugs if he catches them and has to be atleast an hour boat ride from any major ports.
>>
>>22044551
I feel like the whole "poor people and prisoners only ate lobsters" is one of those facts that were true in a couple of situations, but end up being over exaggerated into what it is today.
>>
>>22044625
It is. Lobster appears in lots of Dutch still life painting of luxurious food spreads
>>
>>22044551
Jews don't eat shellfish dude, that's what you're seeing.
>>
>>22044580
No they probably just buy lobsters that cost a million dollars that haven't eaten plastic
>>
>>22044698
the plastic is in the ocean retard. It's not like they're eating plastic bags. EVERY lobster has microplastics.
>>
>>22044721
What if you farm it in a tank and not the ocean
>>
>>22044816
>Who cares about the ocean, we have a fish tank
back to my original point: Incompetence.
>>
>>22044551
Don't worry anon. You are going to die. Enjoy what you like. Maybe you live to be old, maybe you get crushed in a car crash. Just live and enjoy.
>>
>>22044870
>Just live and enjoy
easy for a fucking cat to say.
>>
>>22044551
Isn’t most of the shrimp sold in the US from India now?
>>
>>22044916
no
>>
>>22044551
Clickbait is generally bad for you. Outside of a few the wealthy dont give a fuck about consumption
>>
>>22044565
>incompetents
It's malice not incompetence though it's also a part
>>
>>22044941
It would be malice if they didn't also live on this planet, but they do, so it's something else. Self-destruction of some description.
>>
>>22044551
Catfish are bottom feeders, so they tend to taste like mud
>>
>>22044816
tank is made of plastic, now the lobster has even more microplastics. gg
>>
>>22044625
Poor people and rich people ate the same stuff. The only differences were that poor people had to go poaching if they wanted to eat game (as it was considered private property) and rich people ate far more, and far more sugar (really expensive before sugarcane) and spices. Some products that are now exclusive were seen as normal or garbage food. They include caviar, salmon, tuna and pigeon. Bottom feeders like eel, carp, burbot and seafood were staples during Lent - which, if you add it all up, was 5 months a year.
>>
>>22044962
>(really expensive before sugarcane)
There is no sugar in Europe before sugarcane. Sugarcane is what was really expensive.
>>
>>22044983
>There is no sugar in Europe before sugarcane
Which was brought to America by Europeans, just like nearly all foodstuffs.
>>
>>22044551
>Richies don't eat lobster
Good, that means that there's more for me.
>>
>Wealthy people

I have more wealth eating McDonald's and playing switch 2 games.
>>
>>22044625
It was a british colony thing. Namely new england and austrailia. They were also feeding people dead lobsters which is a health risk they probably didnt realize
>>
>>22045199
>switch 2 games

I don't Eat Bugs
>>
>>22045811
You probably eat some bugs. Even while you're sleeping.
>>
>>22045857
ESPECIALLY while he's sleeping.
>>
>>22045857
Hell no I don't eat no bugs I eat burgers and chicken and drink fruit jugs
I like to eat turkey I like to sip mugs
I like to drink brandy I like to eat drugs
But one thing I don't do is eat bugs
>>
>>22045871
>lobster was mostly rotten lobster back then,
Maybe in the USA and it still is.
>>
