Would total automation of fast food franchises make things better or worse for customers?
>>22046475Paying technicians to maintain robots is much better than paying unskilled labor to make food because the technicians can't spit in your food or step on your lettuce.
>>22046475better for quality control, worse realistically though because you'll end up paying for the robot in increased price or decreased portion size
>>22046475much less faecal content in the food with robots
As someone who has worked with industrial robots, I can tell you that they won't be maintained at 100% and are prone to all sorts of mishaps and leakages.
>>22046475anything done to make something cheaper will never lower the purchase price.
>>22046475>total automation of fast food franchises
I don't believe food automation lends itself well on the direct-to-customer level. Someone who works in a fast food place doesn't just do one job, and those jobs are located all around the store. Who's cleaning the store?Who's stopping customers from fucking with the machines? Who's restocking everything? Who's answering customer questions?By the time all these questions are answered the automation probably barely reduces head count
I've noticed the mcdonald's near me has an automated drinks machine in the drive through that chooses the correct cup, adds the appropriate amount of ice/drink and drops the lid onan employee just needs to grab the drink and hand it out the windowautomation won't be all at once, instead it will continue to slowly erode things
>>22046475Even if you take out the equation of them breaking down, most machines are a lot slower at cooking and putting together food. Arm robots especially.
>>22046475Main issue is cleaning. Cooking is already automated to the brim. If you see what MC Donald's workers do you'll understand. They just put burgers together and put it in a box, while ingredients are already pre made by machinery. The rest is way cheaper with hiring a human. A clanker would cost you more than a jeet
>>22046475There'd be even more useless eaters with no career opportunities, but the prices would go down a bit. For a little while.
Name an example of things being made better for customers.
Pretty much guaranteed to be worse
>>22046475>fully automate with robots>ghetto trash will still fight with and assault them
>>22046686> they wouldn’t raise prices to offset the cost of their fancy new equipment and gathering campaignsSure
>>22046475Based, Fuck wagies
The people who work at these places can't even maintain an ice cream machine. It would end up bringing a nightmare. >pull up to the drive through>Uhhhhh I'd like a double cheese burger>we all out. Da burger flipper ain't no workThey can't get a tech out till next week.
>>22046830>can't even maintain an ice cream machinei see you've never worked at a fast food place.we just tear it down by 8pm to clean it.
>>22046841Ah yes. Clean the ice cream machine in the evening. You know when people want dessert. Real smart.
>>22046841I have tried to get ice cream at just about any time of day and literally never gotten it since i was an adult.
>>22046826Are you fucking retarded? Do you realize that young men who are looking for a quick buck before going into collage will have nowhere to work to? Working on a grocery store was literally my first job. Never go on the self check out machines
>>22046855Don’t worry, they’re probably a retarded child
>>22046855Not my problem. If they come onto my property i will shoot them dead
>>22046875> my property
>>22046486Do you think we don't already pay for the human labor that has already proven to be largely inept and even dangerous?
>>22046537>Who's cleaning the store?A janitor. FF doesn't want people going inside anymore.>Who's stopping customers from fucking with the machines? Walls and locked doors>Who's restocking everything? More robots>Who's answering customer questions?AI - bonus: it's smarter and more polite than the subhumans currently>by the time these questions are answered... Done. I bet those questions sounded better in your head.
>>22046475Absolutely worse. Humans can at least be reasoned with to some capacity, so if there's a person to talk to, and you're nice about it, they can hook you up if something goes wrong. If you can't have people do the jobs then just leave the grille out there & I'll cook the damn thing myself. I'm already filling my own drink cups.
The less I need to interact with another human while getting my shitty slop the better
>>22046904>Humans can at least be reasoned with to some capacitynot the jeet thirdies that now work fast food jobs
I've designed a much better tendie robot that doesn't require all that complex shit
>>22046475does the robot arm come with a spit dispenser?
>>22046952I also don't really see why they are always looking at those hightech complex robots when much simpler solutions like this exist.Another would be a simple metal conveyor belt with the nuggets falling onto it on one side, getting driven through the oil bath and falling into the basket. You know, EXACTLY like it is actually DONE by frozen nuggets manufacturers when pre-frying before freezing.
>>22046501It worked great in the sterile tech demo!
>>22046475>malfunctions and hot oil gets sprayed everywhere
>>22047093>Stabs the guy with that needle>YOUR TIME IS OVER, HUMAN!
>>22046484t. Never worked with technicians
>>22046475Better. I won't have to worry about some low iq loser spitting in my food or just touching it in general
>>22046540And the workers still fuck up. It's amazing. It literally drops the drink off in front of them and they still fuck up.
>>22047121Yeah instead you get mold festering in the inside of the machine that no one ever cleans up.
>>22046686>but the prices would go down a bitthat's a joke
>>22046484>technicians can't spit in your food
>>22047125The only reason a machine like that isn't a waste of money is that they're hiring retards as its competition.
>>22046475I don't get the issue. The factories are already fully automated. Why not go pick up your garbage there? Nobody needs a /dance/ robot, it just makes everything more expensive.
>>22046844>implying ice cream is a dessert and not an afternoon treat because it's hot in the summer
>>22046830>they can't even maintain an ice cream machine
>>22047285>He's at the finish line! OH NO HE STRUGGLES, HE FALLS!What does an ice cream like this cost?Because obviously what you really pay for is the novelty of a robot making your ice cream.Which is obvious if just comparing speed to how fast a human would have made that portion.
>>22046501you sound like an idiotany restaurant buying a robot will do so under a lease, not a purchase, and therefore the leasing company will be responsible for maintenance.otherwise, how else will the leasing company convince the restaurant to upgrade to robot 2.0 after their 4 year lease is up
>>22047332That’s a common copier purchase model but not common for something that could be listed as a direct cost of goods sold like production machinery. At least from my experience
There's a Wendy's by me that uses ai or something to take your order at the drive through. Its feels very strange. However im more confident it'll take the order properly and I dont feel like im annoying it by having a very specific order. I still kinda like dealing with people generally. Its like the purest form of living.
>>22047469who's qualified to fix an entirely new robot invention dumdum? of course the manufacturer has to handle maintenance and repairs
>>22047495Do you know anyone in manufacturing lol
>>22047332this concept works very well for the McDonalds ice cream machines no wait it doesn't
>>22047783imagine thinking an ice cream machine is as easy to service as a robot. stick to repairing fleshlights peasant
>>22047807>imagine thinking an ice cream machine is as easy to service as a robot.imagine saying this and making the argument that they are easier to maintain meanwhile they are still always broken
>>22046475>starts shitting itself and leaking hydraulic fluid into the fryer>supervisor wagie pauses, then just shrugs and serves the chicken anywayNo refunds.
>>22047809no dickhead they don't get repaired because there's no incentive for them to do so
>>22047819Exactly the same reason why what you suggested with robots would fail too autist since it's the same setup
>>22047809>>22047807Are you imagining
>>22047820too low iq to understand that the robot manufacturers have to move units, and therefore their product needs to be viable?while all the mcdonalds have an ice cream machine, what more revenue is there for the ice cream machine makers to extract? you can't even spell MBA, this is no longer interesting
>>22047824Imagine there's no heaven
>>22047825too low IQ to understand the ice cream machine company have to move units, and therefore their product needs to be viable?
>>22047825What? Are you confusing the ice cream machines product viability with the workers willingness to clean and maintain it? Are you like, about to go get your MBA or something..?
>>22047826Wunderbar!
>>22046475tech fags need to quit pretending with these lames ass robot arms and fully commit to making hot female robot shells with an operable arm attachment.
The Jews are responsible for this. I won't go to Taco Bell or McDonald's anymore because they have these stupid TVs you have to order on. If I didn't need groceries I wouldn't go to Walmart because I have to scan everything myself and it's real fucking annoying when you have to search on the screen to choose your produce and then weigh it.
Fast food is one of the hardest things to fully automate.
>>22047875You would want the robot to jack you off? Sounds dangerous AF
