I'm defrosting these after freezing them last year. The expiration date was November 2025. Once they're thawed, how long will they be good for? I can't eat all 12 so I'm wondering if I need to trash the package as soon as I make a few tomorrow.
Imagine the life of a man who freezes hotdogs but then has to eat hot dogs for every meal for a week.
>>22046490>take out of freezer>break off a few glizzies from the frozen block of meat>stick back in freezerYour whalecum
>>22046490>defrostingwhycrack a few of those bad boys off the block straight into a pot of boiling water with a knifemaybe use an air fryer or grill if you are feeling fancyno need for anything else
>>22046490they will last longer than it will take you to eat them
>>22046490it say on the label to use or freeze within 7 days of opening.I would defrost and then binge on them for 5 days. I actually find the kirkland dogs start to get a little iffy smelling faster than some cheaper dogs.
>>22046490break a few off and leave the rest frozen if you arent gonna eat em all fast enough. what are you, retarded?
>>22046490Eat them without a bun and they'll be gone in a day or two.
>>22046494i dont have to imagine it. i am that guy. and it is good.
>>22046494I don't have a Costco membership, wanted some hotdogs when a family member went shopping, and didn't realize these came in purchases of 36 or something. Figured I'd just freeze one package.>>22046498>>22046506>>22046651>Break a few offToo late for that now. They're already defrosting if not defrosted already. I've learned my lesson about not just getting a normal package of hotdogs from the normal store though. Costco isn't really good for single dudes besides shit like booze and other drinks that won't go bad. Takes up too much freezer space.
>>22046490>Once they're thawed, how long will they be good for?cook and consume immediately.you can't re-store them.
>>22046490I'd imagine with the amount of preservatives. They should be fine.
>>22046735>Too late for that now.how could you let this happen? what were you thinking?
>>22046735they'll fine just fine in the fridge for a couple days. you could just cook them all and then keep them in the fridge. with that many to use i'd probably cut them into small sections and use in a stew. maybe slice a couple into very thin sections and pan fry them with scrambled eggs.
>>22046735>I've learned my lesson about not just getting a normal package of hotdogs from the normal store thoughwhy haven't you just learned the simple lesson of breaking a few hotdogs off and keeping the rest in the freezer? whats wrong with you?
>>22046490if you have a spare jar, vinegar and salt you can pickle the ones you don't eat
>>22046735Your mom let you have 36 weiners?
>>22046490frozen food does not expire idiot.depending on what it is, and how airtight it will be good for at least 2 years.I have found pork, duck, and chicken can get rancid after 1 year.
im still so fucking angry at this guy for not just breaking off a few hotdogs and keeping the rest frozen.FUCK YOU
>>22047116>I have found pork, duck, and chicken can get rancid after 1 year. Not when they hot dog
>>22047116Yes, but I thawed them. Now they can get bad.
>>22047887but what if you froze them again?
>>22047928You're not supposed to freeze things twice. I think it creates ancient spirits or something
>>22046490This is why you get a vacuum sealer, and seal everything in manageable sizes.
they wont last for long, or at least likely wont last for long. next time take em out of the pack and freeze em in a ziplock bag with separation between them so you can take out a few frozen ones at a time
>>22047928beside increasing risk of spoilage its gonna completely wreck the texture of the glizzies, leaving them mushy when chewed
