Anyone else have a problem with overeating? Literally unless I count my calories like an autist I will over eat and cause problems for myself

I didn't think I did...
>>
yeah I never got around to counting calories
if I only eat based on how I feel like eating I gain weight
only time I had normal weight in my adult life was after half a year of keto diet
>>

Everything I like is calorie dense and I eat very quickly
So I always end up eating too much before my body even adjusts to it and feeling lethargic
It wastes my day

Yeh I like to eat I got a eatin problem.
But I try and counter it by lifting a shitload of heavy shit.

Yes, I mostly combat it by eating food that has flavor, but isn’t delicious, and keeping everything delicious outside of the house.

I was just thinking about making a thread about this.
I wonder why some people have self control and why some dont and why its certain foods for individuals. You got fatties who eat nothing but slam two liters of soda all day who are 300lbs and then you got those fatties who eat their weight in food but only drink water. For me, if I wait too long in the day to eat, I will overeat. The longer I wait, the worse it gets.

>unless I count my calories like an autist I will over eat
this. I lost 100 lbs by carefully weighing foods and calculating calories for recipes I make.

If I go out for a steak dinner I can have 1/3 to 1/2 of a steak and one side, with maybe bread and butter. I have to drink water only.

If I eat mexican food I can have 1 taco, and one enchilada and chips and salsa and that's it for the rest of the day. I have to eat it for lunch and skip dinner.

I can't even think about going to olive garden because if you have the salad, bread sticks, and alfredo dipping sauce. that is your meal. that's 1000 calories.

I get guff from wait staff if a meal comes with 2 sides and I say I only want one. cracker barrel is out of the question because they give you a choice of 3 sides and a biscuit with your main (also their food is shit).

I have 500 calories for breakfast, 500 for lunch and for dinner I can have 1000. I also bike ride twice a day and it makes little difference.

It's harder to overeat if you aren't eating any processed food. A study I looked at said diets high in processed food ended up with about 500 more calories being consumed per day.

That’s interesting, in line with your point I’m almost opposite - if I eat breakfast or have an early lunch I’m more likely to overeat due to the size of dinner (I like big dinners)

Thanks bro

You overeat because you're bored. It's like smokers who smoke because they have no idea what to do with their hands. They enjoy the lighter sensation or holding the puff.
>>
>>22052686
that's why offices have snacks, yes.
>>
>>22050528
eat less energy dense foods and you won't have this problem

This is me with food, usually when I'm watching or reading something.
Any suggestions of something to replace it with?

>inb4 self control
Yeah I know I have a problem.

Maybe look into fidget toys or nicotine free vapes
>>
>>22052704
I don't smoke, and I don't want to inhale any vapors.
Fidget toys don't do it for me, I need something productive.
For example, I had a bunch of macadamia nuts I had to crack for something I was going to make, and just seating there cracking them, I didn't feel the urge to eat.

Get a huge bag of sunflower seeds or chew some gum

>Get a huge bag of sunflower seeds
This is a good idea, I'll give it a try.
