My wife made this big salad wehich we shared. Chicken Ceasar salad with fresh lemon and parmesan cheese.
>>22050547Why not just have a meal with a small salad on the side?
>>22050547I'll allow it as long as it's a once a week thing.
>>22050547I would eat your wife's salad. It isn't dinner though. Some bread and a soup or a small pasta would complete your wife's salad. And why do you specify fresh lemon? What other kind of lemon is your wife dressing her salad with?
>>22050555>Some breadCroutons>What other kind of lemon Bottled lemon juice
>>22050547Why didnt she make 2 small salads?
>>22050551>>22050570Were emphasizing BIG over here >>22050553Our first time>>22050553I forgot to mention she added sliced avocado and cooked bacon as well>>22050559Great gag>>22050561Exactly. None of that bottled lemon stuff
>>22050547I like a cobb salad for dinner sometimes.
>>22050555>I would eat your wife's salad. What did you just say about my wife, bro?!
>>22050570because at Monk's they don't make a big salad so yeah, 2 small salads please
Half of my wife's culture's foods are just various salads and when she cooks, a dinner could be anywhere between 2-4 such salads plus soup and homemade bread.Just last night, we had chicken burgers, yeah? And she made two salads, one beetroot and the other carrot, to go with it. And the omnipresent soup. The burgers were an afterthought.
>>22050547If they're well made, sure. If they're for health, yeah it's important to care. As for your wife's, it looks great, nice and pretty.
>>22050815this sounds wonderful. i bet you guys are hitting your fiber intake.>>22050547also this salad looks delicious. sometimes when i do salad for dinner i do a quinoa or rice base to make it more calorically dense and filling. probably wouldn't for a caesar salad, but it elevates a more lunch-y salad to a full dinner.
>>22050685Cobb salad good too I like Bleu cheese >>22050815Soup and salad is a knockout combo >>22051352>>22051394Thanks i thought so too. Was very tasty
>>22050547Sometimes a bigass salad is all you need.
>>22050774That's Reggie's. They don't have big bowls.
>>22050547I'm not a fan of croutons. I'd rather just have a piece of hot garlic bread to mop up the extra dressing with instead of stale bread in my salad.
>>22050547Dinner should be lighter fare. Enough to let yourself comfortably sleep and no more. The day is done, you don't need tons of calories going into your digestive system.
>>22052026The croutons are meant to add a textural complexity. Also they're really good when they absorb some dressing and become less toothsome.
>>22052105>textural completelyI agree completely but there are so many better options than stale, mouth-raping bread cubes. French fried onions, bacon, tortilla strips, nuts, granola, fresh veggies even. Croutons are inferior.
>>22052112No, wrong. Croutons absorb the dressing and become softer. That's the point.
>>22052031But the dopamine high feels soooooooooo good.
>>22050547I'm trying to have more salads as a meal in order to lose weight, but it's never enough for mealso salad is annoying to prepare
>>22052130If you plan on overloading your salad with dressing just so you can mop it up with dry carbs later, than maybe you should reconsider the kinds of "salads" you're eating.
>>22052269Yeah I only eat plain, dry lettuce leaves with bits of pre-chewed soaking wet bread to prevent mouth rape
>>22052249Just prep all the ingredients a week in advance and store them separately. You can use a lot of the vegetables for other things like stir fry, or roasts, soups, sauces, or stews... Plenty of other things I'm sure. But having things like bell pepper, carrots, celery, onion, broccoli cut up and prepared or at least washed and peeled makes making a lot of dishes a lot easier. If you don't cook with them, just throw them in a bowl with some lettuce, balsamic, and lemon juice. If you're lucky, maybe some diced chicken or steak. All these veggies that I mentioned only cost a few dollars altogether. And they can make your meals go a long way if used properly. I hate food prepping but washing and breaking down ingredients when I procure them is something that I do like to do.
>>22050547Post your wife’s clothes breasts
>>22052112>stale, mouth-raping bread cubeshearty chuckle
>>22052112I don't like any of those. I just want leaves.
>>22050547Salad nicoise is one of my favorites
