Go to a locally owned donut shop. Krispy Kreme is overpriced and over glazed. Even the cream filled are glazed.

A donut filled with shortening-based vanilla creme, topped with a thick chocolate icing. Enough sugar to knock down a horse. But, exteriorly, they are identical to the chocolate iced custard filled donut: a horror-show of gross, sickly flavored, semen-textured custard. The teenage workers (teenagers worked the low-wage, part-time jobs back then) were always mixing them up! I would bite into a delicious looking donut only to have it nut its runny load in my mouth. I started tonguing the hole first to test if it was a true crème-filled donut. I don’t live near a KKreme anymore, but I miss them sometimes.
