I don't get the idea of going to a poor country then staying in a tourist compound and paying ridiculous prices for basic things.I get that it's super popular right now because popular TV shows are all about how great they are, but it just seems depressing.

I could see paying $50 to have a reasonable seafood buffet. $200 is ludicrous.
