I'm about to try Buldak Carbonara for the first time. It's cooking now.I'm a little worried bc I've heard that it's crazy spicy, but I should be okay. I can eat Shin Red and sriracha sauce, this can't be much spicier than that, right?
Prepared them. They seem similar to the Shin Toomba, with the creamy powder. Toomba was okay, but I prefer the hot brothy ramen, they're really warm and soothing on a cold night.I'm surprised at how soupy the Buldak turned out. Trying it now...
That's it? I'm fine. Huh?I've heard so many horror stories about how fiery these are, how unbearable the heat is, how people need so cool them down with milk or smth, I was expecting to breathe fire lol.Flavour is pretty good, the sauce is tasty, and I can definitely feel the tinglyness. I put the whole sauce pack in and didn't dilute them, and they're surprisingly manageable. I thought I'd be in agony lol.
>>22056632Well my nose is running and my tongue is tingly, but overall, delicious! Love the sauce, had to blow my runny nose lol, would have again.

>>22056657Yeah sure, but how though?>>22056707I don't want to hurt myself exactly, I just want to increase my spice tolerance a bit so I can try out new foods and enjoy them without breathing fire. Stuff like Sambal is delicious.

>>22057607Dunno about cheese in ramen. Seems like it wouldn't go well. How about something with broth?
>>22057608no that's codeword for i love sharing meals with strangers and friends and family alikefood is inseparable from community and cultureto share life's beauty and our passions, mine being food, with others, is amazingfood is a culmination of humanities progress, our unique cultures and traditions, ranging from subsistence to an elevated art form. enjoyed alone or with others, recognized or not, it brings together the spirit of humanity. more literally, it tends to bring together people - strangers at a coffee or noodle shop, passing conversations at a cafeteria, family meals, intimate date nights, splitting up leftovers on the line at the end of a busy shift - even if indirectly communal, i think that's its own beautyto have an artform that reaches all of the senses, through that first look at your plate, through the sounds of the boil and roast and textures on the plate, the aromas, to the touch and of course the tastewhat an amazing and beautiful experience food is. but, as with much of life, it's even more amazing when that beauty is shared

>>22056707>>22056748Mildest by far is an exaggeration. I've tried carbonara, black, and black 2x, and the first two really aren't very different. 2x is definitely a step up, but if you weren't bothered by carbonara I really doubt you would consider 2x unmanageable.
I'm gonna eat this ramen. What am I in for?
