My fridge died. How to survive without a fridge?
ponder the orb
>>22057982buy a new one...
>>22057982ponder the melon
>>22057988I will. But this will take some time. Until then i have to survive without one.
>>22057997Why? Just buy one. Are you poor or something?
>>22057982How is it dead, since the light is still on?
>>22057982Canned beans, potted meats, and rice. Pasta, olive oil, and a can of mackerel is pretty good. Most fruit and vegetables can last for days at room temp.
>>22058008This is not, in fact, OP’s picture, smoothbrain.
>>22058012Thanks matey
>>22058003this is 4chan, most stupid men here are poor
>>22058014Thanks for clarification. But will my fish survive the blackout?
>>22058023Lookin' good anon! But the OP is lacking a fridge, not a stove. They can still cook.
canned vegetables, canned meat/fish, and uht milkIf there's a kroger or kroger owned store near you, then you might be able to find picrel. They sell them refrigerated, but they don't have to be until opened. I don't know if walmart has uht milk in the US, though.
>>22058027landlords fear the indoor fish farmer
>>22057982People used to just dig a hole, throw a block of ice in there, and keep their stuff cool all summer long while the ice slowly melted. That’s what the historians would have you believe anyway
>>22057982SERVES 3 MEN
>>22058045>uht milk you're supposed to keep it in the fridge once opened
>>22058152Davis should be here soon.
>>22057982Peanut butter sandwiches, canned food, single serving pastas like ramen and mac and cheese. Get a lunchbox/cooler and some bags of ice if you're desperate for something you cannot get away with not keeping cold for at least a while
>>22058142Digging a hole appropriate for that purpose is definitely more effort than you're thinking it is.
>>22058166Or an ice chest. It just has to stay cold. They sell them in pints too.
>>22057982Do this >>22058169>Get a lunchbox/cooler and some bags of ice
>get an empty barrell>fill it up with cold water>tie your groceries tight into plastic bags>sink them inThis is what they did during WW2 in submarines.
>>22057982I don't use my refrigerator to cook
>>22057982>My fridge diedlisten skippy... you are one dumb fuck.defrost that fridge. the ice you allowed to build up around the ice freezer is what is keeping the fridge from cooling down properly. that metal area is where the cold comes from.the fridge should last 100 years.
>>22059415"Search image on _____" is baked into the site, try it sometime.
>>22058845Submarines are cramped as fuck as it is, why carry extra water around
>>22057982 Buy a costco membership, 50 dollars for a year. Once a week buy a pizza for 10 bucks. It has like 5 trillion calories, enough to last you the week and doesn't go bad at room temp. Very easy to reheat in a pan to get crispy and tastes even better.
>>22059415Classic boomer doesn't know how modern day fridge functions. Anything built after 1990 is made to fall apart in a handful of years. There's no such thing as household appliances that just work anymore.
>>22057982Have you tried fixing the fridge?
>>22059781If it's not pumping refrigerant anymore, then it's likely the compressor. Might as well buy a new one in that case when the compressor typically costs as much as a new one.
>>22057982Just buy stuff that you will cook and eat the same day or doesn't need a fridge, it's not that complicated.
>>22057982Ponder the globe(s).
>>22059781Yes, but it just clicks and does nothing.
>>22059781They're not worth trying to fix unless there's no other choice.
>>22059909This. If the fridge is older than 10 years its more rational to buy an ecofriendly new one, saves money too.
>>22057982Is that a beach ball sized sphere of ice? How??
