I buy frozen cubes. The pit in a mango is too big, and therefore the fruit is a fucking hassle to deal with. Cubes are just handy. Mango freezes and thaws with no loss in flavor or texture, but why would you even thaw it? It's a perfect frozen fruit snack, the fiber and sugar keep it from freezing solid. Blended in a splash of milk you get a perfect sherbet. Only a fool buys fresh.

alphonsos are pretty peng but nam dok mais are the king (but good luck finding it outside of thailand).
after eating these i cant stand any other variety
