It looks nicely cooked but I'm not convinced that salting the pan had anything to do with it. Buttering the bread is definitely the way to go vs. butter in the pan.

bread the pan. both sides. butter the salt. jam that salt shaker into the block of butter and make sure it seeps into the salt shaker nice and thoroughly. put the salt shaker on the pan to heat it up. pour the melted butter salt out onto the cheese.
