Having gone through this recently, I feel that the modern ritual for becoming a man should be the day when he stops putting ketchup on hot dogs and only uses mustard as God intended. Also, I understand the aesthetics of it but I damn sure don't get behind why they have to make some elaborate pattern with it in every photo of hot dogs ever. I got a full beard, so I just put the mustard on the side between the dog and the bun to keep it from getting in my stache. Experimented with a bit of raw white onion but the textures and flavors didn't mix well. Recently tried spicy mustard and enjoy it. Now I do two regular mustard one spicy. But yeah curious if anyone had anything that pairs well in terms of toppings.

That does sound like it would pair well with spicy mustard. Unfortunately I live in a landlocked state and all the seafood options near me are garbage

I like it the Mexican way minus the bacon, ketchup, mustard and mayo plus grilled onions.

You should try pickled red onion, or a pickle. Sauerkraut too!
If you want to get real crazy, like REALLY crazy, try roasted potats. Never tried it, but it sounds good

I may have chopped them up too large, that could have been a factor. Will retry with finer cut.

That does sound good, but it would have to be a dinner for sure, that many carbs will have me falling asleep.

Kewpie and kimchi.

>Kimchi
Have never had it but I've been meaning to try it.

Are you looking for pairs with spicy mustard or pairs with hot dog?
>>

Things that pair well with spicy mustard or regular mustard on hot dogs
>>
>>22061414
Hell, really just toppings in general but I do like either kind of mustard on the dogs so I do lean towards things that pair well with them.

Personally, i wouldn’t recommend kimchi, kewpie, AND mustard on the same dog.
Just kewpie+kimchi would be good though, great hot dog topping! Idk if that anon meant all three, I’m just interjecting my opinion.
> other toppings
> vinegar-based slaw+sport pepper
> jalapenos
> tomatoes+spicy mustard

not caring what people think about you for eating it is the final hurdle.

Agree drained warm sauerkraut is good with mustard, if you don’t like raw onions try grilled or fried onions

I’ve always loved me some hot sauce and Dijon mustard… I’m far from a moid though. I do love me some sour or spicy condiments on my dogs, I feel like it gives them a really good kick and prevents me from getting sick of them fast. My personal favorite hot sauce is spontaneous combustion or anything with Carolina reaper/scorpion pepper. Habanero or ghost pepper is better if you can’t handle the heat as much though, those are tasty.
