Why couldn't Del Taco ever rise to rival Taco Bell? Id it because their food is a little more generic Amerimex compared to TBs litany of experimental sauces and items?
>>
>>22062353
Well, they're also too regional. They don't exist here in the northeast.
>>
Taco Bell experiments more and has unique items you can't get elsewhere. Taco Bells generic mexican items are mediocre, but where else are you getting a crunchwrap or grilled cheese burrito? I'd also argue their sauces carry their food. Del taco is really good at what they do, but its kinda generic once you get past the "Having a double cheeseburger at a mexican place" thing. Their del taco is really good, specially on tuesdays, and some burritos are good, but otherwise its kinda underwhelming.
>>
>>22062353
it's because they serve fries with tacos.
>>
>>22062353
we've had a few come and go down here in Texas, never in a convenient location
>>
They don't want to.
>>
taco bell for decades has been cheap slop for drug addicts and students
del taco on the other hand actually attempts to sell food
>>
>>22062353
Looks like the exact same stuff you can pick up at a 7-11 food bar in Miami
>>
>>22062394
And this is why del taco is inferior.
>>
del taco's ground beef doesn't look/taste like cat food, which makes them better than Taco Bell imo
>>
>>22062386
It's got to be this. They're so much better than Taco Bell it's unreal.
>>
Del Taccies are infesting /ck/.
>>
>>22062353
they had great fish tacos they got rid of them
let them burn :P
>>
>>22062353
Good question. Del Taco is definitely the better of the two. I guess goyim just like their slop extra sloppy.
>>
>>22062542
They use real cats instead of the food they eat. They're called chicken of the railyard for a reason.
>>
I have no idea what Del taco's regional strategy is. Obviously there are tons on the west coast, and a good bit in a south. Basically none in the midwest, absolutely none in the norther east coast, for some reason tons in Detroit???

Growing up in california, del taco has been consistently cheaper and better than taco bell, so no idea why it hasn't spread more. Also if you are ever in Barstow they have some of the original del taco locations, if you order off the 'barstow' menu the quality and quantity is way better than any other del taco.

They're by far tastier and a better value than Taco Bell, but honestly, it's just the fact of the matter that Yum! Brands has more money to throw around and open more locations. They also own Pizza Hut and KFC.

It's more or less a real estate thing, on top of brand familiarity for Taco Bell.

>>
>>22062760
It just means bell cat is watching us eat (and masturbate).
>>
>>22062573
Yea this. Fuck em

When I was growing up in the south Phoenix ghetto there was a Del Taco next to to our shitty town house complex with barred windows and every Tuesday it was 39ยข snack tacos for taco Tuesday. I'd buy 50 of them for under 20 bucks and ask for 100 scorcho sauces. This would feed my roommates and I for days. Another roommate worked at a pizza place called slices and she would bring us back some (slices). Usually it was weird shit with potatoes on it or something but we just had rice and beans other than that so the leftovers always kept us going.

I miss surviving together like that with my friends. Nowadays everything is in your room and on your own.

Looks about 50% more expensive, though I'll trust the anons who say the quality is better. It's weird that they push french fries instead of something more texmex.

just the usual retardation of corporate owners. the first guys who bought the brand from the founders sold the rights to a chemical company (which del taco would eventually have to fight to get back) and then subsequent owners ran the chain into the ground briefly in the 90's resulting in a chapter 11 filing. taco bell by comparison had expert corporate management under the aegis of pepsico, as opposed to a bunch of besuited faggots playing hot potato for a quick buck

Taco Bueno mucho betterer
>>
>>22065273
Okay Bobby Hill, everyone knows Bueno Nacho is better.
