What American foods and restaurants do you wish you had in your country? This German guy said he was amazed by Buccees and Waffle House.
being fascinated by a bucees is totally understandable, but everything else? come the fuck on, I've been to Europe and it's the same thing if not better
>>22062765Kinda a weird script. The movie made from this would probably be categorized under fantasy.
>>22062765>german110 percent chance he was high on meth
>>22062787It's not weird when you think about what the lies are supposed to do: flatter the americans into thinking their culture is the best in the world, and all these people are here just savoring how awesome they are
>>22062767I know some people IRL that would soyjack out over things like 5 guys (might be a different restaurant) opening 1 location in my country and they would do things like go on day long car trips to eat at at a Burger King or KFC (back when those were new). These people also always have a passionate hatred for McDonalds because back in the day this was the only one we had so therefore it must be bad or something.
>>22062765OP source post please this is obviously fake.
>>22062765DUDE i fucking LOVE americathey have BIG GAS STATIONS and RANCH DRESSING and FAST INTERNET
>>22062765My parents bought some ranch with them when they were in America. Nobody liked that shit. It's like if remoulade and tzatziki had a severely retarded bastard.
>>22062765I have 600mbps internet in my house here in greece and I can have ranch dressing whenever I want. This is just some rural bumfuck swede
i live in a world capital and already have access to amerislop and its all shit. I can even pay a 70iq subcontinental golem to bring it to my door (i would never though). Is there some kind of extra slop additive you put in the food over there that makes it extra slopshit?
>>22062765> brosberityThere’s a line from prosperity into over consumption and waste. We crossed that line like 20years ago. Not to mention the quality problems our food has.>>22063266Probably lol That’s why there’s an addiction problem
Ranch is disgusting and for poor/brown people. Blue cheese is the thinking man's fatty dressing
>>22062765Honestly proper greasy spoon diners. Those are pretty comfy.
>>22062767i dont think europe has 24/7 diners that are never more than 20 minutes away from where you are.
>>22062765German has shit internet speed because it's privatised companies don't want to spend the money on building fibre networks. They're sweating the copper which is why everyone there is on shitty adsl and cable. But even then if you're on cable you can still get 1000/50 for 60 euros. The moron probably uses a 10 year old wifi router or hasn't bothered upgrading to a high speed.
>>22063391Totally depends on where you live, 24/7 diners are a dying breed, even fastfood restaurants are phasing out being open all the time, I'm sure plenty are nice to eat at but it's nothing particularly amazingSicily does have a lot of restaurants that close really late, but I'll admit a lot other countries in europe (like Belgium) close at like 6pm which is pretty damn annoying for a tourist
>>22062765What is it with americans pretending to be Euros.
>>22062765I'd love to have beef ribs, it's all pork ribs here. Still tastes good, but beef tends to have a stronger flavour.
>>22062765This shit has to be CIA propaganda bots
>>22063422we've been doing that for 250 years
>>22062765Not the sodas because they taste like shit. Every American import I've had tastes it could clean my drains. I'd like corn-bread to be over here since it looks tasty.

>>22062767Lol no, Germany has rolling blackouts because their solar grid can't keep up with demand whenever a cloud rolls by.They tried to go Green™, but now a shitload of people bought backup generators that run of Fossil Fuels™ because the system can't keep up.

>>22063661Are germans really impressed so easily? Isn't Germany supposed to be even more advanced? Am i missing something?
>>22063708It’s rage bait.
My answer is identical to the one from last thread. Jolly Ranchers.
american, moved to germany recentlyhaven't really missed anything since i left, all the ingredients i typically cook with are available, the restaurants here are about the same quality and just as overpriced as they were in the states, and i can get a can of beer better than anything i've had in the us for less than a eurogermany has about everything i could need except a job market
>>22063716I mean yeah you have travelled thousands of miles but you're still in the western world. You wouldn't really expect things to be wildly differentNow if you had moved to Asia or middle East or Africa the difference would've been much larger. But states, Australia, Europe, uk, it's all the same for the most part
>>22063384Wait,I thought ranch was blue cheese dressing. The fuck is ranch made of then?
>>22063670Average Germans dont have massive houses and huge serving sizes like the average Amerifat.
>>22063661is this german nigga from a small town in the middle of nowhere?all the big cities are pretty much the same in every western country, it's not like american chain stores are that different than the ones in France, Germany or the UK.

>>22064463>like oreosEuropeans are so weird. I genuinely don't understand this, but it seems to be such a common theme.
>>22064475I don't get what you're getting at
>>22064480I suppose I, and literally every American I have ever known, would not buy timtams and imagine that is representative of Australian food, would not buy Jaffa cakes and imagine that is representative of English cuisine, would not buy Salmiakki and imagine that is all there is to Finnish food.Yet non-Americans and especially Europeans exclusively seem to do this, and I find it genuinely bizarre. Do you guys like not have real food? Just eat stuff that comes from a bag or a box?
>>22064483>Yet non-Americans and especially Europeans exclusively seem to do this, and I find it genuinely bizarre. Do you guys like not have real food? Just eat stuff that comes from a bag or a boxRemember what Trump went on about during his campaign? That EU laws don't allow for many US food imports? It was all true. Until relatively recently we didn't really even get candy. Now we do, which we compare to local offerings. It's not that deep. And personally local Oreo clones beat the real thing for me even if they too suffer from enshittification
>>22064484Okay? Even without that, do you think you are going to get anything decent from another country exported across an ocean? It's always going to be old and stale, and doesn't address the core point of it just being junk food and snacks. That's like, not food man. I'm worried for you guys.An American thinks of England, we think shepherd's pie, a Sunday roast, full English breakfast, etc. If we think German food, it's going to be bratwurst, spätzle, sauerkraut, schnitzel, pretzels. If we think Finnish food, let's be real that won't happen, but it's going to be reindeer meat, mashed potatoes, and berries. If you ask a European about American food, it always seems to be starburst or doritos or some shit. Is this just me being spoiled by the fact I can go to restaurants representative of pretty much any relevant cuisine in the world with just a short drive?I want to forcefeed you New Mexico's enchiladas, fresh salmon in Washington, brisket from Texas, shrimp and grits and biscuits and gravy from the South in general, Louisiana gumbo, Maine lobster, etc.
>>22064500Lmao naming mexican food firstYou are one of those guys that pens pro-migrant articles in the wake of some latest horror reminding people how much you need ethnic food
>>22064500>Is this just me being spoiled by the fact I can go to restaurants representative of pretty much any relevant cuisine in the world with just a short drive? So can we but IMO it's irrelevant here. If you made some American calorie bomb with Finnish ingredients it wouldn't taste the same. Hell, meat can taste really different across different European countries. Thus we either have to travel or just eat prepackaged stuff
>>22064516>Lmao naming mexican food first>geographically illiterate Balkan subhuman doesn't know New Mexico is an American state
>>22062765>What American foods and restaurants do you wish you had in your country?when i was in Indonesia I had A&W. it was actually really good and I got the root beer float which was delicious. most enjoyable chain fast food slop i have enjoyed for a while.
>>22064358>Where are you from?I'm a krautand it's nowhere near as bad as in the US>Most of Europe has an obesity crisis comparable to America, now.KEKmost definitely notyour pic is>overweightNOT>obesitythe difference is the sheer scaleso how fat fat people arein the US you see massive whales basically anywhere you looknot just a beer belly, blob like creaturesin Europe that's a very rare occurrence
In Australia so many of these brands come over here thinking we're some amazing market and that they're going to compete, but after the first week where queues are around the corner everyone tends to realise that this Seppo food is trash and then the franchise fails to attract enough Indian investors so it just dies. I think they opened Wendy's for like the third time here just a few weeks ago, with massive plans to open 200 stores, and now that the hype has died down they are quietly scrubbing the internet of their 200 store claims and are struggling to make ends meet. Things like Trump demanding that we allow American meat to be sold here, kicking up such a stink by applying extreme tariffs to try and flog an inferior product, in the end he reformed part of the American beef industry to adhere to our standards (which was the only limitation in the first place) to only import (not even sell) 150kgs of the stuff so far. Its pretty embarrassing. For the most part American products are vastly inferior, using banned pesticides and food colourings and so many many additives that they legally can't even be considered real food. Even the chocolates and lollies taste like vomit, so it was really hard to think about what I wish we had. After some deep thought, I wouldn't mind some of the chilli autism you guys have. All the different varieties, the scoville levels and so on. For the most part we have your basic sweet capsicum and birds eye chillis and occasionally some jalapenos. If you want anything else you have to grow it yourself. While in America you have so many different varieties available, and while it might just be to facilitate the Mexican market and their mole dishes, it would be nice to see a few more varieties on offer.
>>22064591All of your top fast food restaurants come from America, including Hungry Jack's.
>>22062765I want a Wienerschnitzel sea dog
>>22064602That's not what we're talking about here. If the food is made with local ingredients it might as well be a different dish entirely. Much like Finnish sauerkraut isn't German sauerkraut isn't Polish sauerkraut. We refer to chocolates and stuff because generally those are packaged in America and we get the same experience as they do with those snacks
>>2206381885 years later germany is still under US occupation, turning browner and gayer until the final objective of obliterating anything identifiably german is accomplished.https://www.c-span.org/program/american-history-tv/here-is-germany/550960
>>22064602>All of your top fast food restaurants come from America, including Hungry Jack'sChain restaurants are an American concept, of course they would be dominated by American brands. All those that exist here had first mover advantage because they made a play in the 50s-70s. Now an Australian expansion is not a good play, Wendys, 5 guys, carls jr, and so on, they all die because there are not enough people to facilitate so many burgers. While places like Taco Bell fail because the already established chains like Taco Bill or GYG or Madmex already have the market cornered. Plus we have the Asian fast foods too, PappaRich, Nene chicken and so on, or even African ones like Nandos. There isn't anything like that which we are lacking.Even the snack food we aren't lacking, you can just look up "American Candy Store" and you'll find hundreds of them across the major cities because they are all just fronts for illegal vapes and blackmarket cigarettes, so you can get any sort of vomit tasting rubbish you want with ease. Its really hard to think of an American food we are lacking.
I have this autistic daydream about things I can buy in my local stores that I would put in a care package of stuff to send overseas to people in the UK, etc.It includes Zapp’s Voodoo kettle chips, Andy Capp hot fries, Zatarain’s boxes of dirty rice and jambalaya, El Yucateco chile habanero sauce, the works
I don't get the hype behind "Buc-ee's". It's just Walmart with gas pumps. And the lot isn't more impressive than a truck stop, really.
>>22064483>American I have ever known, would not buy timtamsI don't know about that. Timtams are pretty good. That said, Any bogan retard who carries on about food in Australia being better than the US is brain-damaged. Sure, you can get good food in the big cities there, but I can get good food in the big cities in California. Then, there's the rest of the US, and in Australia, there's what? Fuck all. Mulleted mongs.
