How do you take it? Shaken? Stirred? Stabilizers?
>>22064115crunchy
it tastes kinda bad without sugar and homogenization agentsmany nut pastes are much betterhazelnut, pistachio, almond, cashew, praline
Love me some PB. Bought the store brand natural stuff since it was $3 cheaper and somehow it doesn't seem to separate as much. Maybe it hadn't settled yet or has more solids than other brands but I feel like it's thicker than what I often get.
>>22064132False and false. Just a pinch of salt and a rough processing is ideal.
>>22064115I like the fresh ground peanut butter from the machine at Whole Foods.
i went most of my life just eating the natural oil separated salt and peanuts stuff and i thought it made me better than everyone else. but at 34 i am ready to admit that partially hydrogenated oils and molasses just make it taste better and Jif is better than whatever natural sludge you're currently stirring.
>>22064200At least get the ones with palm oil if you really want it. Hydrogenated fats are terrible for you. Probably one of the worst things you can consume.
I give my dog the cheap stuff, I eat the good stuff.
>>22064115no sugar JIF is the GOAT peanut butter
>>22064206>one of the worst things you can consumei used to drink a lot so i can eat whatever i want now
>>22064303
>>22064115Skippy Super Chunk is great. I think the Smucker's all-natural stuff is the best, though.
>>22064238Which body parts do you have her lick it off of?>>22064206There isn't any real difference between the two.
>>22064338>There isn't any real difference between an ultraprocessed fat that was shown to kill people and was going to be made illegal and a natural fat that people have been eating for thousands of years without major documented issuesi dunno man there might be one or two small differences
>>22064115Just don`t buy it and get Nutella, it has way way more combinations and subtle flavors
>>22064465nutella is about 10% nut, 3% chocolate and rest is sugar or palm oil
>>22064343Theres less than a gram of it in any given peanut butter. It doesn't matter. Thats like worrying about 1 gram of sugar in your seasoned chicken patty
The natural peanutbutter almost took me out, made a complete sticky seal, tried to swallow and it wouldn't budge, couldn't cought it up eitherTried to drink and wash it down and the liquid just spilled out of my mouthI knew I had to stay calm but the thing that crossed my mind was I'm gonna die here and they're gonna find my fat ass in a bathrobe laying on the kitchen floor with a spoon in my handThis is seriously how I'm gonna go out?I was seconds away from grabbing a knife and trying to give myself a thracheotomy I was down on my knees and tried one more big swallow and just got a tiny bit of air through, felt like no bigger than a straw but it bought me timeIt was a slow grueling process but eventually managed to get it downMoral of the story is don't eat a whole spoonful of peanutbutter
>>22064508In the autopsy they would've concluded it had to be a bizarre fetishistic murder since no one would be retarded enough to try and swallow a whole spoonful of peanutbutter willingly.
>>22064497sugar is not nearly as bad as partially hydrogenated fat
>>22064528Like I said, its irrelevant. Theres not enough to cause harm. I'm not going to argue with you.
>>22064529>Like I said, its irrelevant.i disagree>Theres not enough to cause harm.any amount is harmful>I'm not going to argue with you.then dance with me
>>22064115The all-natural peanut butter dilemna always makes wonder how it would turn out if you used an egg yolk to emulsify the pee of the nut
>>22064508Jesus Christ niggaIf you said it was your first time eating any kind of nut butter it wouldn't surprise me. Ever since being curious about those "challenges" years ago like trying to eat a spoonful of peanut butter in under a minute or some shit I realized it was a bad idea.Do people really just shovel entire globs of that shit into their gullets? When I get some on a spoon I always just lick a bit off like ice cream, it's not worth the risk.
>>22064115When I was a kid peanut butter was pushed as this healthy but yummy food. I didn't learn until later just how many calories were in it. It will make you fat. No, that isn't a tablespoon like you think it is. It's four tablespoons because it's "heaped" instead of flattened. 190 calories? You think? Wrong! It's 760!
>>22064115>How do you take it?out, into the trash.i don't like it at all
>>22064729>"challenges" years ago like trying to eat a spoonful of peanut butter in under a minuteThat was never a thing that happened.
>>22064206partially hydrogenated fats are extremely bad for you. fully hydrogenated fats are fine.
>>22064810Theres virtually no hydrogenated oil in peanut butter that has hydrogenated oil in it. It doesn't matter realistically
>>22064810Why do you lie?
>>22064810>fully hydrogenated fats are fine.i doubt it
Creamy Skippy on pancakes.
>>22064840Based
>>22064831yeah it's best to never educate yourself and just live your life based on vibes
>>22064766Maybe not where you were, but I remember it alongside the crackers and other shit like trying to eat spoonfuls of cinnamon. Everyone was trying to one up each other with shit like that.
>>22064914it's not really vibes when a very similar product was said to be safe and then "oops it actually killed millions of people"
>>22064920we know exactly how partially hydrogenated oils form trans fats. fully hydrogenated oils do not form trans fats.animal fat is now the single largest source of trans fat in every country that banned trans fats. isn't that ironic? we banned the thing we conclusively linked to extreme coronary risk and now we have public health officials telling you to feed it to your kids.if you're so afraid of trans fats then you don't eat butter, tallow, or lard, do you?
>>22064918Yeah no it was never a thing sorry
>>22064936>if you're so afraid of trans fats then you don't eat butter, tallow, or lard, do you?Naturally occurring trans fats in animal foods do not have the same negative health effects as man-made trans fats. And no this isn't some appeal to nature or some AncEsTOr meme or whatever. There are actual studies to back this up.
>>22064957Yeah it did, I just misremembered. Just searched that shit for the first time in years on youtube and it was people eating a jar/jars of peanut butter, some even with no water. Very dumb. What now, contrarian gayboy?
>>22064959there is also a study that backs up the fact that all trans fat regardless of source have negative effects. so now we live in a world where studies are like political parties and you just choose which study you want to believe.
>>22064973The fact is there is just too much money involved to ever get the "truth" in an official way for basically anything health related, and even ignoring the monetary aspect the ruling class just loves fucking with the common man. It's better to look at other countries' diets and compare. For example, salt. There's quite a few nations with equal or sometimes even greater salt consumption to nations like the US, but they have lower rates of heart disease. Turns out they have more potassium in their diets on average, fruits or veggies with high amount of potassium or even fish are eaten more, and potassium helps the body eliminate excess salt when you piss but is also great for the heart in general, as other electrolytes are, especially with maintaining heart rhythm.
>>22064973If you're saying that there's conflicting information and therefore you can't trust any of it, then you don't actually have a point.
>>22064966Oh okay, so now it's a whole jar of peanut butter. I see. Now you're gonna move the goal post since you were so obviously wrong.
>>22064936Trans fat in partially hydrogenated oil isn't the same thing as the trans fat in animal products. I never even mentioned trans fat specifically. Trans fat was the major issue with partially hydrogenated oil, but it doesn't mean it was the only issue.
>>22065002I'm gonna move the jar up your ass if you don't watch your tone with me, buddy.
>>22064980yeah I don't know what to believe anymore. I had heart palpitations for years and it turned out to be acid reflux. I started using potassium substitutes to get more varied electrolytes and I still use it just because it seems to be good for you and to me it tastes nearly identical to salt.>>22064999I never had a point don't worry about it also nice trips>>22065011it's fine don't worry nice dubs
Peanut butter? I just get regular unsalted, dry roasted peanuts and chew them until they're creamy.
>>22065025That's interesting you mention that. I actually have heart issues myself, though most of my issues are on the heart rhythm side. I've noticed that if I get bloated or have bad acid reflux myself it makes them flare up. I've made sure to chew my food more thoroughly and take a bit longer to eat my meals now to help avoid that.I've also noticed that slouching forwards also aggravates my arrhythmia symptoms, and leaning backwards and taking deep breaths often helps stop them almost immediately. Almost certainly the vagus nerve being irritated/compressed by the acid reflux, bloating and poor posture respectively, and I've had a good bit of success in recent years doing the aforementioned things.Personally I've been eating small handfuls of dried apricots and almonds daily to help bolster my electrolytes when I know my meals are lacking. I could probably get prescription strength potassium supplements, but I don't need more pills and I would miss out on the other nutrition like the fiber, and those prescription potassium pills suck ass since they are usually fucking huge and thick and not recommended to split. I've had them given to me in the hospital a few times (sometimes without water) and I always feel like I'm going to choke on them.Much easier to just eat some more dried fruits/fruit in general, nuts, potatoes, leafy greens.
>>22065047You can try 10-20mg famotidine/pepcid twice a day which is the conservative option to control reflux . You can also use famotidine as needed and it doesn't have to be used on a schedule. The nuclear option is 20-40 mg Omeprazole a day (will cause rebound hyperacidity if you stop, the Pepcid will not). The final option is fundoplication surgery.I'm really considering fundoplication because the reflux is ruining my life and my only real option is 40 mg omeprazole and at those doses you are at risk of surprise malnutrition from low stomach acid.
>>22065017Sorry you're so upset
>>22065086More like setting-up that jar in your ass

The only thing that irks me is peanut butter that's made from non-oven-roasted peanuts. It's tasteless.>>22066386To be fair, "ice cream bar" is just one word here. But Americans considered it too racist, so they don't use that word.
